Joseph Shuster (July 10, 1914 – July 30, 1992) was a Canadian-American comic book artist best known for co-creating the DC Comics character Superman, with writer Jerry Siegel, in Action Comics #1 (cover-dated June 1938). Shuster was involved in a number of legal battles over ownership of the Superman character.
Alice Ann Munro (, née Laidlaw ; born 10 July 1931) is a Canadian short story writer who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2013. Munro’s work has been described as having revolutionized the architecture of short stories, especially in its tendency to move forward and backward in time.
Murray Irwin “Moe” Norman (July 10, 1929 – September 4, 2004) was a Canadian professional golfer.His accuracy and ability to hit shot after shot perfectly straight gave him the nickname “Pipeline Moe”.
Joseph Kim Mitchell (born July 10, 1952) is a Canadian musician. He was the lead singer and guitarist for the band Max Webster before going on to lead a solo career. His 1984 single, “Go For Soda”, was his only charted song on the US Billboard Hot 100, reaching number 86.
Glenn Allan “Chico” Resch (born July 10, 1948) is a Canadian American retired professional ice hockey goaltender and television sportscaster. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1973 to 1987, and won one Stanley Cup with the New York Islanders in 1979–80.
