Kasturba Mohandas Gandhi(born Kasturba Makhanji)(11 April 1869–22 February 1944) was the wife of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, marrying him in an arranged marriage in 1882. Born to wealthy businessman Gokuladas Kapadia of Porbandar, Kasturba was arranged to be married to Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Both were thirteen years old at their wedding. When Gandhi left to study in London in 1888.
Mohit Suri, (born 11 April 1981) is an Indian film director, most known for his films, like Kalyug (2005) and Awarapan (2007). He is member of the Bhatt family. His uncle is director Mahesh Bhatt and his cousin is actor Emraan Hashmi, who has acted in most of his films. He started his career as an assistant director.
Rohini Hattangadi (born 11 April 1955) is an Indian actress of film, theatre and television. She has won two Filmfare Awards, one National Film Award, and is the only Indian actress to win the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance as Kasturba Gandhi in Gandhi (1982). An alumna of the National School of Drama of New Delhi.
Jamini Roy 11 April 1887 – 24 April 1972) was an Indian painter. Jamini Roy was born in 1887 into a middle-class family of land-owners in a village called Beliatore in the District of Bankura in Bengal . When he was sixteen he was sent to study at the Government School of Art in Calcutta.
Amit Tandon (born April 11, 1979) is an Indian musician and television actor. He was first seen on television as one of the 11 finalists of the first season of Indian Idol. He was eliminated early and has since become a television actor whilst doing music. In 2008, he released his debut solo album Tanha. He has recently joined Dill Mill Gayye as Dr. Abhimanyu Modi.

Frederick John Dealtry Lugard, 1st Baron Lugard GCMG, CB, DSO, PC (22 January 1858 – 11 April 1945), known as Sir Frederick Lugard between 1901 and 1928, was a British soldier, mercenary, explorer of Africa and colonial administrator, who was Governor of Hong Kong (1907–1912) and Governor-General of Nigeria (1914–1919). Lugard was born in Madras (now Chennai) in India.
Vishnu Prabhakar  (June 21, 1912 – April 11, 2009) was a Hindi writer. He had several short stories, novels, plays and travelogues to his credit. Prabhakar’s works have elements of patriotism, nationalism and messages of social upliftment. He was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1993.
Colonel Hanson Chambers Taylor Jarrett VC (22 March 1839 – 11 April 1891) was a recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. He was 21 years old, and a lieutenant in the 26th Bengal Native Infantry.
B. M. Idinabba (September 17, 1920 – April 11, 2009) was a prominent Kannada poet, journalist, freedom fighter, politician and a Kannada activist from Karnataka. He was a member of Congress party and was elected as a MLA for three times in the Karnataka state assembly from Ullal constituency.

1942 All-India Congress party rejects British offer of dominion status at New Delhi.
1952 Treaty between France and India, transferring the former French settlement of Chandranagar to India, is ratified by the National Assembly, Paris. It was the last formal step in completing the process of sovereignty.
