Bejoy Nambiar is a Indian director, producer and screenwriter. He is mostly known for his critically acclaimed short films, Rahu and Reflections. He marked his Bollywood debut with the Hindi film Shaitan (2011) for which he received rave reviews and won Most Promising Debut Director at the 18th Annual Colors Screen Awards in 2012.
Safdar Hashmi (April 12, 1954 – January 2, 1989) was a Communist playwright, actor, director, lyricist, and theorist, chiefly associated with Street theatre in India, and is still considered an important voice in political theatre in India. He was a founding member of Jana Natya Manch (People’s Theatre Front; Janam for short) in 1973.
Ulka Gupta (born 12. April 1997 at Saharsa, Bihar) is an Indian television actress. She is popularly known as Manu as she played the role of Manu (the young Rani Lakshmibai) in the Zee TV soap Jhansi Ki Rani until leap and Kritika Singhal took her place as the adult Rani Lakshmi Bai and later she made a re-entry to the same show as Kaali.
Francis Newton Souza (April 12, 1924 – March 28, 2002), commonly referred to as F. N. Souza, was an Indian artist. He was a founding member of the Progressive Artists’ Group of Bombay, and was the first post-independence Indian artist to achieve high recognition in the West. According to The Times of India Souza’s expressionistic style sought to illustrate both low-life and high energy.
Vinoo Mankad  (12 April 1917 – 21 August 1978), full name Mulvantrai Himmatlal Mankad, was an Indian cricketer who is best known for his world record setting opening partnership of 413 runs, with Pankaj Roy, in 1956, a record which stood for 52 years.

Sir Mokshagundam Visveswaraiah KCIE, popularly known as Sir MV; 15 September 1861 – 14 April 1962) was a notable Indian engineer, scholar, statesman and the Diwan of Mysore during 1912 to 1918. He was a recipient of the Indian Republic’s highest honour, the Bharat Ratna, in 1955.
Singanalluru Puttaswamayya Muthuraju (24 April 1929 – 12 April 2006), better known by his screen name Rajkumar was a popular actor and singer in the Kannada film industry. He is considered a cultural icon of Kannada where he is also known as Rajanna, Natasarvabhouma (emperor of acting), Gaana Gandharva (singer in the court of Gods), and as Annavru (beloved elder brother).
Sachin Bhowmick 17 July 1930 – 12 April 2011) was an Indian Hindi film writer and director. Writing was his main work and he wrote stories or screenplays for over 94 films. He was also a regular contributor to Ultorath, a Bengali magazine on cinema. He started his writing career with the screenplay for Mohan Segal’s Nargis starrer Lajwanti in 1958.
Mahamahopadhyay Pandit Mahesh Chandra Nyayratna Bhattacharyya CIE (22 February 1836 – 12 April 1906) was an Indian scholar of Sanskrit, and the principal of the Sanskrit College for over 18 years. A close friend and colleague of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, he played an important role in the Bengal Renaissance. He was one of the most eminent Bengalis in Kolkata of the nineteenth century.
Mohit Chattopadhyaya  (1 June 1934 – 12 April 2012) was a Bengali Indian playwright, screenwriter, dramatist and poet. He was a leading figure in modern Indian drama. Mohit Chottopadhya died on April 12, 2012. He had been suffering from cancer. Mohit Chattopadhyaya was born in the town of Barisal, now in Bangladesh.
