Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar 14 April 1891 – 6 December 1956), popularly also known as Babasaheb, was an Indian jurist, political leader, philosopher, anthropologist, historian, orator, economist, teacher, and editor. He was also the Chairman of the Drafting Committee of Indian Constitution. Born into a poor Mahar (considered an Untouchable caste) family.
Julie Frances Christie (born 14 April 1941) is a British actress. Born in British India to English parents, at the age of six Christie moved to England, where she attended boarding school. In 1961, she began her acting career in a BBC television series, and the following year, she had her first major film role in a romantic comedy.
Suchitra Karthik Kumar (b. 14 April 1979) is an Indian Tamil Radio Jockey and Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu playback singer. Born and brought up in Kerala, she had her school education in Bhavans Vidya Mandir Giri Nagar, Kochi. She is a graduate from the Kerala University (Mar Ivianos, Trivandrum). Later on she moved to Coimbatore for her MBA (PSG College).
Anita Hassanandani (born 14 April 1981), also known as Natassha, is an Indian model, film and television actress. Hassanandani is best known for acting in Balaji Telefilms and has also acted in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Telugu films. After her success as a model for EverYuth, Sunsilk, Boroplus and other brands.
Madras Rajagopala Radhakrishnan Naidu (b. 14 April 1907 – 17 September 1979), popularily known by his stagename M. R. Radha was an Indian film actor and politician. He was given the title of “Nadigavel” for his acting prowess. After a successful career on stage in his early years, he acted in films from the 1930s to the 1970s, and then, giving up films.

Sri Ramana Maharshi  (December 30, 1879 – April 14, 1950), born Venkataraman Iyer, was a Hindu spiritual master (“jnani”). He was born to a Tamil-speaking Brahmin family in Tiruchuzhi, Tamil Nadu. After experiencing at age 16 what he later described as liberation (moksha), he left home for Arunachala, a mountain considered sacred by Hindus.
Israr Ahmed  April 26, 1932 – April 14, 2010) was a Pakistani Islamic theologian followed particularly in South Asia and also among the South Asian diaspora in the Middle East, Western Europe, and North America. Born in Hissar, (today’s Haryana) in India, the second son of a government servant, he is the founder of the Tanzeem-e-islami, an off-shoot of the Jamaat-e-Islami.
Rami Reddy  1959 – 14 April 2011) was an Indian film actor in Telugu Cinema. He also tried as director and producer but was not successful. He is known for his negative roles, character roles and comedy timing. He was a well known villain and he had his own inimitable style with typical Telangana dialect.
Salimuzzaman Siddiqui  19 October 1897 – 14 April 1994), HI, MBE, SI, D.Phil., FPAS, FRS. was a leading Pakistani scientist in Natural Product Chemistry. He is credited for pioneering the isolation of unique chemical compounds from the Neem (Azadirachta indica), Rauwolfia, and various other flora.
Dr.P.B. Sreenivas  is a veteran playback singer from India. He has sung in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and malayalam films. He is known for his playback singing in the Telugu, Kannada film and Tamil film industries.

1659 Aurangzeb defeated his brother Dara Shukoh to capture the throne of Delhi.
1905 Earthquake at Kangra region in Himachal.
1919 Gandhiji confesses at Nadiad his “Himalayan Miscalculation” regarding satyagraha martial law declared in Punjab.
1944 Blast in ammunition loaded on 1,318 tonned freighter ‘S. S. Fort Stikine’ which was anchored in Victoria Dock at Bombay. The explosion killed 1376 people, wrecking 27 ships and destroying 40,000 tons of food.
