    • George VI (Albert Frederick Arthur George; 14 December 1895 – 6 February 1952) was King of the United Kingdom and the Dominions of the British Commonwealth from 11 December 1936 until his death. He was the last Emperor of India, and the first Head of the Commonwealth. As the second son of King George V, he was not expected to inherit the throne.
    • Ranbirraj “Raj” Kapoor (Hindi: राज कपूर, Punjabi: ਰਾਜ ਕਪੂਰ, Rāj Kapūr, 14 December 1924 – 2 June 1988), also known as The Show-Man, was an Indian film actor, producer and director of Hindi cinema. He was the winner of nine Filmfare Awards in India, and a two-time nominee for the Palme d’Or grand prize at the Cannes Film Festival for his films Awaara (1951) and Boot Polish (1954).
    • Sameera Reddy (Telugu: సమీరా రెడ్డి, Samīrā Reḍḍi ; born 14 December 1982 is an Indian actress who primarily appears in Bollywood and Kollywood films. Apart from Hindi and Tamil, she has also appeared in a number of Telugu, Bengali and Malayalam films. Reddy was born in eletipadu near tanuku , Andhra Pradesh.
    • Rana Daggubati better known as Rana, is an Indian film actor and producer. He made his acting debut with the Telugu film Leader. The film, written and directed by Sekhar Kammula, hit the theatres on 19 February 2010, and became an instant success, gaining Rana Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South.
    • Sanjay Gandhi (Hindi: संजय गाँधी ) (14 December 1946 – 23 June 1980) was an Indian politician. The younger son of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Feroze Gandhi, he was a member of the Nehru-Gandhi family. During his lifetime he was widely expected to succeed his mother as head of the Indian National Congress, but following his early death in a plane crash.
    • Juhi Parmar (Hindi: जूही परमार; born 14 December 1980 in Ujjain), daughter of Devendra and Hemlata Parmar, brought up in Jaipur in Rajasthan is a well known TV personality and a versatile anchor, actress, Television Presenter, singer and dancer. She is also the winner of fifth season of the reality television show aired on Colors TV. Big Boss.

  • Gajānan Digambar Mādgulkar (October 1, 1919 – December 14, 1977) was a prominent Marāthi poet, lyricist, writer and actor from India. He is popularly known in his home state of Maharashtra by just his initials as Ga Di Ma (गदिमा).
  • Sudhir Joshi (1948 – 14 December 2005) was an Indian Marathi actor and comedian. Born in Dadar, Joshi attended Pinto Villa (branch of Raja Shivaji Vidyalaya and formerly King George V High School) and later Kirti College to obtain his BA Economics. He also studied law at Kirti. He worked as a sales executive at the publishing company Blackie and Sons.
  • Henry Heras (11 September 1888, Barcelona, Spain – 14 December 1955, Bombay, India) was a Spanish Jesuit priest, archeologist and historian in India. Enric Heras de Sicars (later in India he anglicised his Christian name to Henry) was the heir of a well-off rural household from the village of Adri, near Girona, in Catalonia, Spain. His parents were Ponç IV Heras and Maria Sicars.
  • Major Walter Troup (October 16, 1869 – December 14, 1940) was an English first class cricketer who was born in Uttar Pradesh, India. He was a member of the inaugural All-India team. He debuted for Gloucestershire in 1887 at the age of 17. A defensive batsman, it is said that he once batted for 95 minutes against Lancashire during a game in 1888 and didn’t score a run.

  • 1920 -> Akali Dal established.
  • 1931 -> Viceroy of India issues new powers to seize properties of those who, following independence leader Gandhi, refuse to pay taxes.
  • 1952 -> Roshan Harshadlal “Deepak” Shodhan scored 110 in his Test Cricket debut vs Pakistan in Calcutta.
  • 1969 -> Bishen Bedi takes 7-98 (career-best) v Australia at Calcutta.
