Pratibha Devisingh Patil (born 19 December 1934) is the 12th President of the Republic of India and the first woman to hold the office. She was sworn in as President on 25 July 2007, succeeding Abdul Kalam and after defeating her rival Bhairon Singh Shekhawat. She is due to retire from the office in July 2012. Patil is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC).
Ankita Lokhande
born Tanuja Lokhande in Indore, India is an Indian television actor best known for playing the role of Archana Manav Deshmukh in Pavitra Rishta. She was born on 19 December 1984 in Indore. She was a part of Zee Cine Stars Ki Khoj season 1 and also earned many accolades from directors such as Mahesh Manjrekar, Satish Kaushik.
Nayan Ramlal Mongia  pronunciation (help·info) (born December 19, 1969 in Vadodara) is a former Indian cricketer. He played as a right-handed batsman and a wicketkeeper. Currently, he is a cricket analyst. When he first toured England in 1990, he impressed Alan Knott, who claimed Mongia was a natural.
Sir Upendranath Brahmachari  (19 December 1873 – 6 February 1946) was an Indian scientist and a leading medical practitioner of his time. He synthesized Urea Stibamine (carbostibamide) in 1922 and determined that it was an effective substitute for the other antimony-containing compounds in the treatment of Kala-azar (Visceral leishmaniasis).
Mahi Gill (or Mahie Gill) is an Indian actress, working in the Bollywood industry. She is best known for her role of Paro in Anurag Kashyap’s critically acclaimed Hindi film Dev.D, a modern take on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s Bengali novella Devdas for which she also won the 2010 Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.

Ashfaqulla Khan (22 October 1900 – 19 December 1927) was a freedom fighter in the Indian independence movement who had given away his life along with Ram Prasad Bismil. Bismil and Ashfaq, both were good friends and Urdu poets (Shayar). Bismil was the pen name or Takhallus of Ram Prasad whereas Ashfaq used to write poetry.
Khurram Murad or Khurram Jah Murad (1932–1996) an Islamic scholar occupies a place of distinction in the intellectual firmament of contemporary Islam. A thinker and a prolific writer, he has been one of the architects of current Islamic resurgence. While his da’wah activities began in Pakistan, he has been involved in the promotion of the Islamic movement in Asia, Europe and Africa.
Thakur Roshan Singh (Birth: 22 January 1892 at Navada village of Shahjahanpur district in Uttar Pradesh, Executed: 19 December 1927 at Allahabad (Malaka/Naini jail), Uttar Pradesh) was an Indian revolutionary who was previously sentenced in the Bareilly Goli Kand (en. shooting case) during Non Cooperation Movement of 1921-22.
Reymond Hervey de Montmorency (6 October 1871 – 19 December 1938) was an English cricketer. de Montmorency was a right-handed batsman who bowled both leg break and right-arm slow-medium. Born in Gonda, then in the British Raj, de Montmorency was the son of Major Reymond Hervey de Montmorency and Marion Ellen Coles. He was educated at Cheltenham College, before attending Keble College, Oxford.
Edward Henry Hilton (c.1834 – 19 December 1922) was a former pupil of La Martiniere Boys’ College in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, who was involved in the siege of Lucknow and the defence of the Residency during the Indian Mutiny of 1857. His father William Hilton was the Sergeant Instructor at the College and was also involved in the siege.

Notable Events:

1995:- Unidentified aircraft drops a heap of sophisticated arms and ammunition, including AK-                 47 rifles, rocket launchers and anti-tank grenades in Purulia district in West Bengal.
1984:-  2500 killed in Bhopal gas tragedy.

1978:- The Lok Sabha expels Indira Gandhi from the House and sentences her to imprisonment              for a term lasting its prorogation. She was released from jail on December 26.
1961:– Goa was liberated after Portuguese surrendered to the Indian troops.
