  • Mangal Pandey (19 July 1827 – 8 April 1857) was a sepoy in the 34th Bengal Native Infantry (BNI) regiment of the English East India Company. He is known for his involvement in the initial stages of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. While contemporary British reports considered him a traitor and mutineer, he is widely regarded as a freedom fighter in modern India.
  • Rajat Tokas  (born July 19, 1991) is an Indian television actor. He achieved recognition by playing the lead role in an Indian television series, Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan and Dharam Veer. Rajat Tokas was born in Munirka, South Delhi to Ramvir tokas. He studied in the Hope Hall Foundation School, R. K. Puram, Delhi.
  • Harsha Bhogle (born 19 July 1961) is an Indian cricket commentator and journalist. He was born in a Marathi speaking family in Hyderabad. Bhogle has recently become a freelance TV presenter. Harsha Bhogle is the son of A. D. Bhogle, a professor of French, and Shalini Bhogle, a professor of psychology. He went to Hyderabad Public School, then studied chemical engineering at Osmania University.
  • Roger Michael Humphrey Binny (born 19 July 1955, Bangalore, Karnataka) is an Indian former cricket all-rounder who is best known for his impressive bowling performance in the 1983 Cricket World Cup where he was the highest wicket-taker (18 wickets), and in the 1985 World Series Cricket Championship in Australia.

  • Maharaja Pratap Singh Gaekwad (29 June 1908 – 19 July 1968) was a Maharaja of Baroda who succeeded his grandfather Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III at his death in 1939. He ruled for a period of twelve years, from 1939 to 1951, when he was deposed by the Government of India and exiled to England. He was succeeded by his eldest son, Fatehsinghrao Gaekwad.
  • Chithira Thirunal Maharaja (His Highness “Padmanabha Dasa” Sri Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma Maharaja) (November 7, 1912–July 19, 1991) was the last ruling maharaja of the princely state of Travancore, in southern India. Chithira Thirunal Maharaja is famous for his Temple Entry Proclamation, but it was during his rule that more than a thousand people were killed in the Punnapra-Vayalar .
  • Girilal Jain (1924 – 19 July 1993), was an Indian journalist. He served as the editor of The Times of India from 1978 till 1988. He was sympathetic to Hindu nationalism and authored books on the subject, the best known of which, The Hindu Phenomenon, was published posthumously. Girilal Jain was born in a rural village 50 miles (80 kilometeres) from New Delhi.
  • Alan Garnett Davenport (Sept. 19, 1932 – July 19, 2009) was a professor at the University of Western Ontario and founder of its Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel Laboratory. He analyzed the wind’s effect on a significant portion of the worlds tallest buildings including the building formerly known as the CN Tower, Sears Tower, Citicorp Center, and the World Trade Center.
