Taapsee Pannu (born 1 August 1987), also known by the mononym Taapsee, is an Indian model-turned-film actress, who mainly works in the Telugu and Tamil film industries. Born in a Punjabi family, Taapsee worked as a software professional and also pursued a career in modelling before becoming an actress.

Meena Kumari (1 August 1932 – 31 March 1972), born Mahjabeen Bano, was an Indian movie actress and poetess. She is regarded as one of the most prominent actresses to have appeared on the screens of Hindi Cinema.

Bhagwan Dada (1 August 1913 – 4 February 2002) was an Indian actor and film director. He is best known for his social film Albela. Bhagwan Dada was born in 1913 as Bhagwan Abhaji Palav. He was the son of a textile mill worker but was obsessed with films.

Delhi Ganesh a veteran Tamil Actor born in Tirunelveli , who mostly acts in supporting roles and is perhaps best known for his role in Kamal Hassan comedies and films like Nayagan and Michael Madana Kama Rajan. He has acted in more than 400 films from 1976 to present.

Ira Dubey (born. 1984) is an Indian actress who appeared on the small screen and in Bollywood films. Dubey was born in Mumbai to Lillete Dubey, a Bollywood actress. Her sibling Neha Dubey is also an actress, and has starred in the Mira Nair movie Monsoon Wedding.

Panakkad Syed Mohammedali Shihab Ba-Alawi Al-Hussainy (May 4, 1936 – August 1, 2009) was a Muslim politician from Kerala, the former leader of the E. K. Sunni faction of Muslims of Kerala, and one of the most famous Islamic scholars from the Indian state of Kerala.

Harkishan Singh Surjeet (23 March 1916 – 1 August 2008) was a communist politician from Punjab, India. He was the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) from 1992 to 2005 and was a member of the party’s Political Bureau from 1964 to 2008.

Nirad C. Chaudhuri (23 November 1897 – 1 August 1999) was a Bengali−English writer and cultural commentator. He was born in 1897 in Kishoreganj, which today is part of Bangladesh but at that time was part of Bengal, a region of British India.

Ashok Vinoo Mankad (12 October 1946 – 1 August 2008) was an Indian cricketer. A right-handed batsman, he played for India in 22 Test matches. Ashok Mankad was born in a Brahmin family as the eldest son of Vinoo Mankad, who represented India in 44 Test matches, in Bombay.
