Ileana D’Cruz (born 1 November ) is an Indian film actress, who predominantly appears in Telugu cinema. Starting her career as a model, she made her feature film debut in Y. V. S. Chowdhary’s 2006 Telugu film Devadasu. She went on to appear in commercially successful ventures Pokiri (2006), Jalsa (2008) and Kick (2009), establishing herself as one of Telugu cinema’s leading actresses.
Padmini Kolhapure (born 1 November 1965) is an Indian actress who appeared in Bollywood films during the 1970s and 1980s. Padmini Kolhapure is from a Maharashtrian family. Her father, Pandharinath Kolhapure, is a classical singer whose family was from Kolhapur and Goa. Her mother, whose family hailed from Mangalore, held a job working for the airlines.
Tisca Chopra (born 1 November 1974) is a contemporary actor in the Indian film industry. Her big break in films came via Taare Zameen Par (2007), which won her awards and accolades including a National Award nomination. She followed it up with the award winning Firaaq (2008). Manju Warrier (born 1 November 1978) is an Indian film actress. She was among the popular lead actress in Malayalam cinema during the mid to late-1990s. Warrier made her debut in Saakshyam (1995). Vaidyanathapura Rama Krishna Iyer (born November 1, 1915), popularly known as Justice V. R. Krishna Iyer, is a former judge in the Supreme Court of India. He was born in a village in Malabar region of Kerala. In 1952, he was elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly; in 1957, he became a minister in the first Communist government in Kerala, serving until 1959.
Arun Balkrishna Kolatkar (Marathi: अरुण बालकृष्ण कोलटकर) (November 1, 1932 – September 25, 2004) was a poet from Maharashtra, India. Writing in both Marathi and English, his poems found humor in many everyday matters. His poetry had an influence on modern Marathi poets. His first book of English poetry, Jejuri, is a collection 31 poems pertaining to a visit of his to a religious place.
Vangipurapu Venkata Sai Laxman pronunciation (help·info) (born 1 November 1974), sometimes shortened to Venkatsai Laxman but generally known as V.V.S. Laxman, is an Indian cricketer. Laxman represents Hyderabad in domestic cricket and has played for Lancashire in English county cricket. Laxman is the great grand nephew of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India.

Mayavaram Krishnamurthy Thyagaraja Bhagavathar (Tamil: மாயவரம் கிருஷ்ணமூர்த்தி தியாகராஜ பாகவதர்) (1 March 1901 – 1 November 1959), also called M.K.T., was a Tamil film actor, producer and Carnatic music singer. He is considered to be one of the most successful Tamil film actors ever. Bhagavathar was born in the town of Mayiladuthurai in then Tanjore district of the Madras Presidency.
Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay (Bengali: বিভূতিভূষণ বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়) (listen: Bibhutibhushon Bôndopaddhae (help·info)) (September 12, 1894 – November 1, 1950) was an Indian Bengali author and one of the leading writers of modern Bengali literature. His best known work is the autobiographical novel, Pather Panchali (The Song of the Road).
Arun Paudwal (died 1 November 1991) was a famous music composer in Bollywood in India. He was married to Anuradha Paudwal, a well known singer from Bollywood. He worked with music director S. D. Burman for some time. Paudwal composed music for several movies including Marathi and Hindi Films. He is well known for his compositions in movies like Meera Ka Mohan (1992).
Born as Venkata Appala Haranath Raju Buddharaju (Telugu: హరనాథ్) (September 2, 1936 – November 1, 1989), but professionally and popularly known as Haranath, was a “Tollywood” film actor. Haranath was born in Raparthi in east Godavari. He was a very popular Tollywood lead actor in the 60’s being regarded as a romantic icon.
Alexander Walker Scott (10 November 1800 – 1 November 1883) was an Australian entomologist mainly interested in butterflies. Scott was the son of Dr Helenus and Augusta Maria Scott and born in Bombay, India and was educated at Bath Grammar School and Peterhouse, Cambridge, receiving a BA in 1822 and an MA in 1825.
