Aarti Chabria ( born 21 November 1982) is an Indian actress and a former model, who appears in Hindi, Telugu and Kannada movies. Born in Mumbai, Chabria comes from a Sindhi family.

Ruma Guha Thakurta is a Bengali actress and singer. She was born in 1934 as Ruma Ghosh. She hails from a Brahmo Bengali family. Her father was Satyen Ghosh (known as Montey Ghosh) and her mother was Sati Devi, a singer. Sati Devi’s younger sister Bijoya married film director Satyajit Ray.

Akshay Venkatesh (born 21 November 1981) is an Indian Australian mathematician. His research interests are in the fields of counting, equidistribution problems in automorphic forms and number theory, in particular representation theory, locally symmetric spaces and ergodic theory. He is the only Australian to have won medals at both the International Physics Olympiad.

Sarojini Varadappan (b. September 21, 1921) is an Indian social worker from the state of Tamil Nadu. She is the daughter of former Chief Minister of Madras, M. Bhaktavatsalam. Sarojini was born in Madras on September 21, 1921 to Bhaktavatsalam and Gnanasundarambal. Her father Bhaktavatsalam was a student at the Madras Law college when she was born.

Harekrushna Mahatab (November 21, 1899 – January 2, 1987) was a leader of the Indian National Congress, a notable figure in the Indian independence movement and the Chief Minister of Orissa from 1946 to 1950 and again from 1956 to 1961. He was popularly known by the sobriquet Utkal Keshari. Harekrushna Mahtab was born at Agarpada village in Bhadrak district of Orissa.

Komaravolu S. Chandrasekharan (born 21 November 1920) is a professor emeritus at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich. and a founding faculty member of School of Mathematics, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR). He is known for his work in number theory and summability and was given numerous awards including Padma Shri, Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award, Ramanujan Medal.

Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman, FRS, (7 November 1888 – 21 November 1970) was an Indian physicist whose work was influential in the growth of science in India. He was the recipient of the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1930 for the discovery that when light traverses a transparent material, some of the light that is deflected changes in wavelength.

Air Marshal Sir John Hugh Lapsley KBE, CB, DFC, AFC, RAF (24 September 1916 – 21 November 1995) was a World War II fighter pilot and, later, a senior Royal Air Force commander. Lapsely joined the Royal Air Force as an Aircraft Apprentice in 1935 later being awarded a cadetship at the RAF College Cranwell. In 1937 he was appointed to a permanent commission and a posting to No. 32 Squadron.

Ramnad V. Raghavan (June 19, 1927 – November 21, 2009) was a South Indian player of the mridangam. He was born in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, to P. Vaidyanatha Ayyar of Kooniyur, Tirunelveli district, and Brhannayaki. Beginning in 1970, he taught for many years at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, United States. He was also a key initiator for the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana.

Tiruppur Subrahmanya Avinashilingam Chettiar (5 May 1903 – 21 November 1991) was an Indian lawyer, politician, freedom-fighter and Gandhian. He served as the Education Minister of Madras Presidency from 1946 to 1949 and was responsible for introducing Tamil as the medium of instruction.

Lieutenant-Colonel Francis David Millet Brown VC (7 August 1837 – 21 November 1895) was an Irish recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. Brown was born on 7 August 1837 in Bhagalpur, India. He was educated at Grosvenor College, Bath.
