Parineeti Chopra (born 12 May 1988) is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi films. After studying Finance in England, she returned to India during the 2009 economic crisis and joined Yash Raj Films as a publicist. In 2011, she was signed by Aditya Chopra for a three-films contract with Yash Raj Films and made her screen debut in a supporting role in Maneesh Sharma’s Ladies VS Ricky Bahl.

Deepak Chopra (Hindi: दीपक चोपड़ा; born October 22, 1946) is an Indian-born, American physician, public speaker, and writer. He is generally specialized in subjects such as spirituality, Ayurveda and mind-body medicine. Chopra began his career as an endocrinologist and later shifted his focus to alternative medicine. He now runs his own medical center with a focus on mind-body connections.

Kader Khan (born 22 October 1935) is an Indian film actor, comedian, script and dialogue writer and Director. He graduated from Ismail Yusuf College affiliated to Mumbai University (then Bombay University). Before entering the film industry (1970–75) he taught at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Byculla, Mumbai as a professor of Civil Engineering.

‘Kitu Gidwani( born 22 October 1957) is an Indian actress and model. She has starred in some movies as well as serials in Indian television. She became popular after a TV series, Air Hostess aired on Doordarshan in 1986, and received critical acclaimed for her roles in Dance of the Wind (1997), Deepa Mehta’s Earth (1998), Govind Nihalani’s Rukhmavati Ki Haveli (1991), Kamal Haasan’s Abhay

Brigadier Sawai Bhawani Singh Bahadur MVC (22 October 1931 – 17 April 2011) was the Maharaja of Jaipur and head of the Kachwaha clan of Rajputs. He died at age 79 due to multi-organ failure. The title technically ended in 1971 when royal entitlements were abolished along with privy purses through a constitutional amendment.

Ajit  the screen name of Hamid Ali Khan (born 27 January 1922 in Golconda, Hyderabad, died of cardiac arrest on 22 October 1998 in Hyderabad) was a Bollywood film actor. Ajit Khan, a popular villain of Bollywood movies, was known for his stylish and peculiar delivery of dialogue.

Jibanananda Das (Bengali: জীবনানন্দ দাশ, /dʒɪbɒnʌnɒndɔː dʌʃ/) (18 February 1899 – 22 October 1954) was a Bengali poet, writer, novelist and essayist. Dimly recognized during his lifetime, today Das is acknowledged as “the premier poet of post-Tagorian literature in India” and Bangladesh.

Mian Mohammed Sharif (December 25, 1949 – October 22, 1997), D.Phil. FPAS, was a Pakistani mathematician and the Surveyor General (S.G.) of Pakistan from March 1974 to mid of 1981. He was one of the founders of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences. Mian Sahib, as he was affectionately known by his friends and colleagues, was born in Singhpur, Punjab, in India.

Paritosh Sen (Bengali: পরিতোষ সেন) (October 18, 1918 – October 22, 2008) was a leading Indian artist. He was born in Dhaka (then known as Dacca), the present-day capital of Bangladesh. He was a founder member of the Calcutta Group, an art movement established in 1942 that did much to introduce modernism into Indian art.

Notable Events: 

1929:- Air Mail Series Stamps were issued. These stamps were of denominations of 2, 3, 4, 6, 8                and 12 annas.

1937:- Gandhiji presided over the educational conference at Wardha and outlined his scheme                 of education through basic crafts.

1962:- Bakhra-Nangal Dam, a multipurpose river valley project, was dedicated to the nation by               Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

1764:- The Battle of Buxar was fought between armies of Mir Qasim, the Nawab of Bengal; the                Nawab of Awadh; and the Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II and British East India Company              led by Hector Munro.
