- Shirish Kunder (born 24 May 1973) is an Indian editor and film director in the Hindi film industry. Kunder graduated as an electronics engineer from SDM College of Engineering and Technology in Dharwad, Karnataka and worked for Motorola. He later entered the film industry as an editor, edited the movie Champion (2000).
- Arya Babbar born January 04, 1981 is an Indian actor who appears in Bollywood and Punjabi films. Arya Babbar is the son of actor turned politician Raj Babbar and famous theatre personality Nadira Babbar, he is the younger brother of actress Juhi Babbar.
- Rajdeep Sardesai (born 24 May 1965) is an Indian journalist, political commentator and news presenter. Sardesai is the Editor-in-Chief of IBN18 Network, that includes CNN-IBN, IBN-7 and IBN-Lokmat. Rajdeep Sardesai was born in Ahmedabad.
- Rajesh Roshan (24 May 1955 in Bombay, Maharashtra, India) is a Hindi cinema music composer. Rajesh Roshan is the son of Hindi film composer Roshan and younger brother of film director and actor Rakesh Roshan. He is also uncle to actor Hrithik Roshan, in whose films he composes many songs {E.g.: Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai (2000), Koi Mil Gaya (2003), Krrish (2006).Death anniversaries on 24th May:
- Majrooh Sultanpuri (1 October 1919 − 24 May 2000) was an Urdu poet, lyricist and songwriter. He was one of the dominating musical forces in Indian Cinema in the 1950s and early 1960s and was an important figure in the Progressive Writers’ Movement.
- Tapen Chatterjee (1937 – 24 May 2010) was a Bengali actor from India who played several roles in Satyajit Ray’s films, notably as Goopy Gyne in Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne (1968), and its sequels Heerak Rajar Deshe (1980) and Goopy Bagha Phire Elo (1991). Chatterjee died on 24 May 2010 at the age of 72. He was suffering from pulmonary ailments.
- Major-General Sir John Edward Capper KCB KCVO (7 December 1861 – 24 May 1955) was a senior officer of the British Army during the late nineteenth and early twentieth century who served on the North-West Frontier of British India, in South Africa.
