Sanjay Dutt (born July 29, 1959) is an Indian film star, producer and politician, known for his work in Hindi cinema. Dutt, son of film actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt, made his acting debut in 1981. He has since featured in films that are amongst some of the most popular Hindi language films of the past three decades.

Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata (29 July 1904 – 29 November 1993) was a French-born Indian aviator and businessman. He was awarded India’s highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna in 1992, some 38 years after the Legion of Honour from the French government in 1954. He was also India’s first licensed pilot.

Hard Kaur (born Taran Kaur Dhillon born 29 July 1979), also known as Hardkaur, is an Indian rapper and hip hop singer, as well as playback singer in Hindi films; she is the first female Indian rapper. She was born Taran Kaur Dhillon in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, where her mother ran a small beauty parlour in the house.

Anup Jalota  (born 29 July 1953) is an Indian singer/musician, best known for his performances in the Indian musical form, the bhajan and the Urdu form of poetry: ghazal. He is popularly known as the Bhajan Samraat (Emperor of Bhajans).

Dr. Cingireddy Narayana Reddy (born 29 July 1931) is an Indian poet and writer. He won the Jnanpith Award in 1988 and is considered to be an authority on Telugu literature. He is known as Cinare. Naryana Reddy married Susheela and with her had four daughters. He has instituted an award named after his wife and this is presented annually to female writers.

Johnny Walker (11 November 1923 – 29 July 2003) is the screen name of an Indian movie comedian, who acted in over 300 movies. He was born as Badruddin Jamaluddin Kazi in Indore, India, the son of a mill worker. The family shifted to Mumbai (Bombay) when the textile mill his father worked in closed.

Gayatri Devi (23 May 1919 − 29 July 2009), often styled as Maharani Gayatri Devi, Rajmata of Jaipur, was born as Princess Gayatri Devi of Cooch Behar. She was the third Maharani of Jaipur from 1939 to 1970 through her marriage to HH Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II.

Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar CIE (Ishshor Chôndro Biddashagor 26 September 1820 – 29 July 1891), born Ishwar Chandra Bandopadhyay (Bengali:Ishshor Chôndro Bôndopaddhae), was an Indian Bengali polymath and a key figure of the Bengal Renaissance.

Nafisa Joseph (28 March 1978 − 29 July 2004) was an Indian model and MTV video jockey. She was the winner of Miss India Universe 1997 and was a semi-finalist in the Miss Universe pageant. Nafisa Joseph was brought up in the city of Bangalore.

Aruna Asaf Ali  (July 16, 1909 – July 29, 1996), born Aruna Ganguli, was an Indian independence activist. She is widely remembered for hoisting the Indian National Congress flag at the Gowalia Tank maidan in Bombay during the Quit India Movement, 1942.
