  • Richa Pallod is an Indian model and film actress who has featured in Indian films. After appearing as a child artiste, she appeared in an award-winning role in Nuvve Kavali, her first film in Telugu. She has appeared in several low-budget Hindi films with her most notable appearance being in Yashraj Films’ Neal ‘N’ Nikki. Her roles in Tamil films Shahjahan, Alli Arjuna and Unakkum Enakkum are notable.\
  • Sreelekha Mitra (Bengali: শ্রীলেখা মিত্র) (born 30 August 1975) is a Bengali Indian actress of TV and films. She is a well known face on the Bengali small screen industry in West Bengal.She got Anandalok Awards (2006) and BFJA Awards (2007) for Kantatar Apart from acting, she is also a judge in a popular Bengali standup comedy show, Mirakkel. Sreelekha appeared in a Coca-Cola ad opposite Aamir Khan.
  • Subramaniam Badrinath (born August 30, 1980) is an Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed middle order batsman. Badrinath has represented India in One Day International matches. In first class cricket, he captains Tamil Nadu and in the Indian Premier League, he plays for Chennai Super Kings. He has also represented the Indian Board President’s XI on several occasions.
  • Manish Patel, is an indian actor and writer was born in the border town of Tazara between Tanzania and Zambia in East Africa. He is one of the leading lights in Britain’s independent cinema movement. His acting and writing flair has brought him many accolades and while the British Asian community has embraced him he is yet to be discovered by the mainstream.
  • Ravi Shankar Prasad (Hindi: रवि शंकर प्रसाद, b. August 30, 1954) is an Indian lawyer and politician belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He represents Bihar in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Parliament of India. He held the position of Minister of State in the Ministry of Coal and Mines, the Ministry of Law and Justice, and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting .

  • Lindsay Gordon Anderson (17 April 1923 – 30 August 1994) was an Indian-born, British feature film, theatre and documentary director, film critic, and leading light of the Free Cinema movement and the British New Wave. He is most widely remembered for his 1968 film if…., which won the Grand Prix at Cannes Film Festival.
  • Toru Dutt (March 4, 1856 – August 30, 1877) was an Indian poet who wrote in English. She remained in Calcutta till November 1869, after which she and her sister Aru traveled to France, Italy and then England. She went to a school in France for the first time of her life and had an intimacy with French during that period.Toru Dutt was born into the well known Dutt family of Rambagan.
  • Anu Choudhury (Oriya: ଅନୁ ଚୌଧୁରୀ) Choudhury Anasuya Dash born on August 30, 1979 is a leading Oriya language and Bengali actress in Bhubaneswar based Oriya Cinema at Ollywood and Calcutta based Bengali Cinema at Tollywood respectively.She has starred in more than 50 films. Her debut Oriya film was Maa Goja Bayani and Bengali film was surya in 2004.
  • Tiruchengodu Ramalingam Sundaram (1907–1963) was a Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Sinhalese film actor, director and iconic film producer. He is the founder of the Salem-based movie production company Modern Theatres. Sundaram was born in 1907 in Coimbatore to a wealthy textile merchant and had his studies in India and in Leeds, England where he graduated in textile engineering.
