Anandibai Gopalrao Joshi (31 March 1865 – 26 February 1887) was one of the earliest female Indian physicians. She was the first woman of Indian origin to study and graduate with a two-year diploma in medicine in the United States. She is also believed to be the first Indian woman to set foot on American soil.

Sheila Dikshit born on 31 March 1938 is an Indian politician who was the longest serving Chief Minister of Delhi, serving for a period of 15 years from 1998 to 2013. She is a member of the Indian National Congress. Sheila Dikshit led the Congress to three consecutive electoral victories in Delhi.
