  • Rohinton Mistry (born 3 July 1952) is an Indian-born Canadian writer in English. Residing in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, Mistry is of Indian origin, originally from Mumbai. He practises Zoroastrianism and belongs to the Parsi community. Mistry is a Neustadt International Prize for Literature laureate (2012).
  • Samarla Venkata Ranga Rao  (3 July 1918 – 18 July 1974) Popularly Known as S.V.R. was an Indian theater actor, Tollywood actor, director and producer. He was popularly known as “Viswa Nata Chakravarthi.” He was known for portraying versatile roles like Ravana, Ghatotkacha, Duryodhana, Kamsa and Kichaka from Indian Mythology.

  • Raaj Kumar, born Kulbushan Pandit (8 October 1926 – 3 July 1996), was an Hindi film actor. Raaj Kumar started out as sub-inspector of Mumbai police in the late 1940s before he turned to acting with the 1952 film Rangili. He appeared in the Oscar-nominated 1957 film Mother India and went onto star in over 70 Hindi films in a career that spanned over four decades.
  •  Swarnakumari Devi (28 August 1855 – 3 July 1932) was an Indian poet, novelist, musician and social worker. She was the first among the women writers in Bengali to gain prominence. She was the fourth amongst the daughters of Debendranath Tagore and was a granddaughter of Dwarkanath Tagore.
