Shankar Mahadevan is an Indian music composer and singer. He is a part of the Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy trio team that composes for Indian films and a playback singer. Shankar Mahadevan was born and brought up in Chembur, a suburb of Mumbai, to a Tamil Iyer family from Palakkad, Kerala.

Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata (3 March 1839 – 19 May 1904) was an Indian industrialist, who founded the Tata Group, India’s biggest conglomerate company. He was born to a Parsi family in Navsari, Gujarat, India. He founded what would later become the Tata Group of companies. Jamsetji Tata is regarded as the “father of Indian industry”.

Shraddha Kapoor is an Indian film actress who appears in Bollywood films. In 2011, she was signed by Aditya Chopra for a three-film contract with Yash Raj Films she starred in Y-Films’s venture Luv Ka The End. However, the contract has been cancelled due to Kapoor signing Mahesh Bhatts’s Aashiqui 2 without taking the consent from YRF production company

Jaspal Singh Bhatti (born 3 March 1955, in Amritsar, India) is an Indian television personality famous for his satirical take on the problems of the common man. He is most well known for his television series Flop Show and mini capsules Ulta Pulta which ran on Doordarshan, India’s national television network, in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Paliyath Jayachandran, popularly known as P. Jayachandran (Malayalam: പി.ജയചന്ദ്ര൯),  is a South Indian playback singer from Kerala. Jayachandran was born in ‘Bhadralayam’, Ravipuram, Ernakulam, and later his family moved to Irinjalakkuda. His father Ravivarma Kochaniyan Thampuran of the Cochin Royal Family was a learned musician, though not a professional singer.

Abul Muzaffar Muhiu ‘d-Din Muhammad Aurangzeb (4 November [O.S. 25 October] 1618 – 3 March [O.S. 20 February] 1707), is more popularly known as Aurangzeb, or by his chosen imperial title Alamgir (“Conqueror of the World”), he was the sixth Mughal Emperor, whose reign lasted for 49 years,

Ranjana Deshmukh (1955 – March 3, 2000), famous on-screen as just Ranjana, was a popular Marathi actress who dominated the Marathi silver screen in the ’70s and ’80s. Like her aunt, noted Hindi actress Sandhya, she was introduced to the screen by V. Shantaram in Chandanachi Choli Ang Ang Jaali, directed by Kiran Shantaram in 1975.

Ravinder Kapoor (15 December 1940 – 3 March 2011), popularly known as Goga Kapoor, was an Indian film actor, who appeared mostly in Bollywood films. He had played supporting roles of that of villain’s henchmen or that of gangster. He is mostly remembered as Kamsa in the TV serial Mahabharat, Dinkar Rao in the film Agneepath and as the Don in the film Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa.

Sumantra Ghoshal (1948–2004) was an academic in the field of management. He was the founding Dean of the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad, which is jointly sponsored by the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and the London Business School. Ghoshal co-authored Managing Across Borders: The Transnational Solution (Bartlett & Ghoshal 2002), with Christopher A.

Vijaya Bhaskar(1931–2002)  was a Kannada Music director. He was known for his songs composed in association with Puttanna Kanagal. Vijaya Bhaskar was busy in Bombay, assisting music directors like Naushad and Madan Mohan. In Bombay Bhaskar was sitting in a restaurant in Matunga and chatting with a friend and then accidentally met B R Krishnamurthy (BRK).

1707 Shehejade Muajjam declared himself as the successor of Aurangzeb and renamed himself Bahadurshah First.

1839 Jamshedji Nasarvanji Tata, famous industrialist and father of modern technology, was born at Navsari near Surat, Gujarat. He started cotton mills in Bombay and Nagpur and founded the Tata Iron and Steel Company, which is one of the largest integrated steel mills in the world.

1847 Alexander Graham Bell, great pioneer, inventor and professor, was born at Edinburgh, Scotland.

1859 A length of 119 miles of line was laid in the North from Allahabad to Kanpur
