Kishore Kumar (4 August 1929 – 13 October 1987), born Abhas Kumar Kanjilal Ganguly was an Indian film playback singer and an actor who also worked as lyricist, composer, producer, director, screenwriter and scriptwriter. Kishore Kumar sang in many Indian languages including Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Malayalam and Oriya.

Neil Bhatt (born August 4, 1987) is an Indian television actor from Mumbai, India. He has previously acted in the television shows Arslaan and 12/24 Karol Bagh and stars as Kesar in Gulaal (TV series) on Star Plus.

 Shama Sikander is an Indian Film/TV actress. She is known mainly for playing the role of Pooja Mehta in the popular Sony TV drama Ye Meri Life Hai. In 1991, she came to Mumbai to try her luck in Bollywood. Shama received fame as Pooja Mehta in the hit television serial Ye Meri Life Hai.She did a movie named Coincidence ki Talash.

Sadashiv Rao Bhau (August 4, 1730 – January 14, 1761) was son of Chimaji Appa and Rakhmabai, and the nephew of Peshwa Baji Rao I. He served as the Sarsenapati (commander-in-chief) of the Maratha army at the third battle of Panipat. He died fighting at the third battle of Panipat. Sadashivrao, born in Saswad near Pune, was the son of Baji Rao’s brother Chimaji Appa.

N. Rangaswamy  (born August 4, 1950) is Indian politician who served as Chief Minister of the Union Territory of Pondicherry from 2001 to 2008 and 2011 so on. Under his leadership, Pondicherry was acclaimed as the best state to live, and awarded as one of the Best States by the Vice President of India. Rangaswamy is elected from Thattanchavady assembly constituency.

Death Anniversaries on 4th August

Nandini Satpathy 9 June 1931 in Cuttack – 4 August 2006 in Bhubaneswar) was an Indian politician and author. She was the Chief Minister of Orissa from June 1972 to December 1976. Satpathy was born on 9 June 1931 and grew up in Pithapur, Cuttack, India. She was the eldest daughter of Kalindi Charan Panigrahi.

Visakham Thirunal Rama Varma GCSI Kaiser-i-Hind FRGS FRAS(19 May 1837 – 4 August 1885) was the Maharaja of the erstwhile Indian kingdom of Travancore from 1880-1885 AD. He succeeded his elder brother Maharajah Ayilyam Thirunal to the throne of Travancore.

Wajahat Mirza  (20 April 1908 – 4 August 1990), also known as Vajahat Mirza and Wajahat Mirza Changezi, was an Indian screenwriter and film director who has penned the dialogues of some of the most successful films in India during the 50’s & 60’s. He was born in Sitapur, a small town 89 kilometers from Lucknow.

Shivaji III (26 December 1830 – 4 August 1866) was a Raja of Kolhapur of the Bhonsle dynasty. He ruled from 1838 to 1866. During his reign, he was granted a personal salute of 19 guns with a hereditary salute of 17 guns. He was succeeded by Rajaram I.
