Shanthakumaran Sreesanth (born February 6, 1983 in Kothamangalam, Kerala, India), is an Indian cricketer. He is a right-arm fast-medium-pace bowler and a right-handed tail-ender batsman. In first class cricket, he plays for Kerala and in the Indian Premier League, he plays for Rajasthan Royals.

Kavi Pradeep (1915–1998), born Ramchandra Baryanji Dwivedi, was a renowned poet and songwriter who is best known for his patriotic song, Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo, written as tribute to the soldiers who had died defending the country, during the Sino-Indian War. His first recognition came for his patriotic lyrics for the film Bandhan (1940).

Angad Singh Bedi (born 6 February 1983 in New Delhi) is an Indian actor, model, and a cricketer for Delhi. He bats right-handed, and his bowling style is slow left-arm orthodox. Angad studied at Bishop Cotton School in Shimla and graduated from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. Unable to replicate the success of his father, cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi, he began a career in modelling.

S. Kalyanaraman (6 February 1930 – 9 January 1994), popularly known as SKR, was a legendary vocalist in the Carnatic tradition. Hailing from a famed musical family, where his great-grandfather was Komal Muthu Bhagavathar and his grand uncle was the celebrated vocalist Madirimangalam Natesa Iyer, S.Kalyanaraman became one of the foremost disciples of G. N. Balasubramaniam.

T. R. Venkatarama Sastri CIE (b. 6 February 1874 – d. 2 July 1953) was an Indian lawyer and politician who served as the Advocate-General for Madras Presidency from 1924 to 1928. Venkatarama Sastri was born on 6 February 1874 in Mayavaram (now known as Mayiladuthurai). He had his schooling at Mayavaram and completed his graduation in Kumbakonam.

Motilal Nehru (6 May 1861 – 6 February 1931) was a lawyer, an activist of the Indian National Movement and an important leader of the Indian National Congress, who also served as the Congress President twice, 1919–1920 and 1928–1929. He was the founder patriarch of India’s most powerful political family, the Nehru-Gandhi family.

Ritwik Ghatak: 4 November 1925 – 6 February 1976) was a Bengali Indian filmmaker and script writer. Along with prominent contemporary Bengali filmmakers Satyajit Ray and Mrinal Sen, his cinema is primarily remembered for its meticulous depiction of social reality.

Sir Upendranath Brahmachari (19 December 1873 – 6 February 1946) was an Indian scientist and a leading medical practitioner of his time. He synthesized Urea Stibamine (carbostibamide) in 1922 and determined that it was an effective substitute for the other antimony-containing compounds in the treatment of Kala-azar (Visceral leishmaniasis).

Bashir Ahmad (12 February 1940 – 6 February 2009) was a Scottish National Party politician. He was elected to the Scottish Parliament to represent the Glasgow region at the 2007 election, and was the first MSP to be elected from an Asian-Scots or Muslim background. Ahmed was a prominent and well respected figure in Parliament and in his community.
