Vinod Khanna (born 6 October 1946) is an Indian actor, film producer and politician. Khanna was born in Peshawar to Kamla and Kishanchand Khanna, a textiles, dyes and chemicals businessman on 6 October 1946, in Peshawar, British India (now in Pakistan). He has three sisters and one brother.

Meiyang Chang (born 6 October 1982) is an Indian actor, television host, singer and qualified dentist. Meiyang Chang studied in Dhanbad, Dehradun, Mussoorie, and Bangalore. He attended Colonel Brown Cambridge School in Dehradun and Wynberg Allen School in Mussoorie. His ancestors come from Hubei province in China in the 18th century and ever since, the family has lived in India.

Sukumari is an Indian film actress who has primarily acted in Malayalam and Tamil films. She has been acting since she was 10 years old and has acted in various roles. The total number of her films is presumed to be about two-thousand. In 2003, she was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India for her contributions towards the arts.

Sanjay Mishra is an Indian actor and comedian who is best known for his character of Apple Singh, an “icon” used by ESPN Star Sports during the 1999 Cricket World Cup and also for his comedic act in the film All The Best. He made his film debut in the 1995 Indian musical film Oh Darling.

Meghnad Saha FRS (6 October 1893 – 16 February 1956) was an Indian astrophysicist noted for his development in 1920 of the thermal ionization equation, has remained fundamental in all work on Stellar atmospheres. This equation has been widely applied to the interpretation of stellar spectra, which are characteristic of the chemical composition of the light source.

Vengalil Krishnan Krishna Menon (3 May 1896 – 6 October 1974) was an Indian nationalist, diplomat and statesman, described as the second most powerful man in India by Time magazine and others, after his ally and intimate friend, Jawaharlal Nehru.

Paramasiva Subbarayan (September 11, 1889 – October 6, 1962) was an Indian politician, freedom fighter and diplomat and was the Chief Minister of Madras Presidency, India’s ambassador to Indonesia and Union Minister of Transport and Communications in Jawaharlal Nehru’s government.

Naik Gian Singh VC (5 October 1915 – 6 October 1996) was a recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. Singh was born in Sahabpur, a village in the Nawanshahr district (Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar) of eastern Punjab.

Muhammad Shafi‘ (1896–1976) was a Hanafi Islamic scholar and Sunni mufti from India. During his life he served as the Grand Mufti of India, and later Pakistan. He was born in 1896 and graduated from Darul Uloom Deoband Islamic university at the age of 22. He became a mufti that same year.

Babasaheb Anantrao Bhosale (15 January 1921 – 6 October 2007) was an Indian politician who served as Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 21 January 1982, until 1 February 1983. Barrister Babasaheb Anantrao Bhosale was born on 15 January 1921 at Satara in western Maharashtra state.

 6-October-1927 The first independent film processing laboratory, Atmanand Laboratory, was set up by Narayanrao alias Dhanjibhai K. Desai at Bombay.

 6-October-1927 First Indian Cinematograph Enquiry Committee, under the chairmanship of Diwan Bahadur T. Rangachariar, was appointed by the Government.
