Rabindranath Tagore (7 May 1861 – 7 August 1941), sobriquet Gurudev, was a Bengali polymath who reshaped his region’s literature and music. Author of Gitanjali and its “profoundly sensitive, fresh and beautiful verse”, he became the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913.
Lady Alexandra Naldera Curzon, CBE (20 March/April 1904 – 7 August 1995), was the third daughter of George Curzon, 1st Marquess Curzon of Kedleston and Viceroy of India, and Lord Curzon’s first wife, the American mercantile heiress, formerly Mary Victoria Leiter, Mary Victoria Curzon, Baroness Curzon of Kedleston.
General Sir Harry Craufurd Tuzo, GCB, OBE, MC (26 August 1917 – 7 August 1998) was a British Army officer who was Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe and GOC of the British Army in Northern Ireland during the early period of the Troubles.
Cornelius Elanjikal D.D. Ph.D. DC.L. (September 8, 1918 – August 7, 2011) was an Indian prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He was born in Kerala, India and was ordained a priest on March 18, 1945. Elanjikal was appointed January 16, 1971 to the Diocese of Vijayapuram and was ordained a bishop on April 4, 1971.
