Nafisa Ali  is an actress and social activist from India. Nafisa Ali was born to photographer, Ahmed Ali, son of S. Wajid Ali and brother of Zaib-un-Nissa Hamidullah. She hails from Faridabad, Haryana. Her mother’s name is Philomena Torresan, who is now settled in Australia. Her brother is the Australia-based motor rallyist, Niaz Ali.

Padmanabh Govind “Nana” Joshi  was a cricket player who kept wicket for India in Test cricket. Joshi was born in Baroda, Gujarat, India in 1926. He first gained attention as a cricket player when he scored 100 notout for Central Province Governor’s XI against the touring Commonwealth XI in addition to dismissing six batsmen
Mahadeva Subramania Mani was an Indian entomologist especially famous for his studies on high altitude entomology. Early school records and University of Madras, MA Degree certificate show his name as M. Subramanya.
Manilal Maganlal Doctor  was an Indian-born, London educated lawyer and politician, who travelled to numerous countries of the British Empire, including Fiji, Mauritius and Aden, providing legal assistance to the local ethnic Indian population

1884  Keshav Chunder Sen, nationalist leader of Bengal, social worker and good orator of Brahma Samaj, passed away at his home in Lily Cottage, Calcutta. He was one of the first Indians to sow the seeds of secularism in our country. He strongly believed that education was the basic necessity to change the society
1890 Ramchandra Varma, renowned editor, was born. He also has the credit in making the Hindi Dictionary
1895  Ramchandra Sakharam Ruikar, freedom fighter, pioneer of the labour movement in India and President of All India Trade Union Congress, was born at Rui village, district Kolhapur, Maharashtra
