Neetu Singh (also known as Neetu Kapoor) is an Indian Bollywood actress. She started acting from the age of 8 under the name Baby Sonia. She played Roopa in the 1966 movie Dus Lakh and a dual role in the film Do Kaliyaan.
Sourav Chandidas Ganguly ( born 8 July 1972) is a former Indian cricketer, and captain of the Indian national team. Born into an affluent Brahmin family, Ganguly was introduced into the world of cricket by his elder brother Snehasish.
Revathy (born as Asha Kelunni Kutty on 8 July 1966) is an Indian actress and film director. She has acted in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi films, directed several feature-length films, and has acted in and produced multiple television programs, totaling over twenty years of experience in the entertainment industry and over a hundred films to her credit.
Sukanya born on July 8, 1969 is a South Indian actress, singer and voice actor. She has acted in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu movies, totaling over 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She has to her credit five Best Actress Filmfare awards for her performance in the Tamil films Puthu Nellu Puthu Nathu, Walter Vetrivel, Rajarajan.
Jyoti Basu (8 July 1914 – 17 January 2010; also Jyotirindra Basu) was an Indian politician belonging to the Communist Party of India (Marxist) from West Bengal, India. He served as the Chief Minister of West Bengal from 1977 to 2000, making him the longest-serving Chief Minister of any Indian state.

Chandra Shekhar Singh (1 July 1927 – 8 July 2007) was the eighth Prime Minister of India. Chandra Shekhar Singh was born on 1 July 1927 to a farming family in Ibrahimpatti, a village in the Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. He was awarded a Master of Arts degree at Allahabad University. He was known as a firebrand in student politics.
Raja Rao (November 8, 1908 – July 8, 2006) was an Indian writer of English language novels and short stories, whose works are deeply rooted in Hinduism. Raja Rao’s semi-autobiographical novel, The Serpent and the Rope (1960), is a story of a search for spiritual truth in Europe and India.
Dr. Paul Wilson Brand, CBE (July 17, 1914 – July 8, 2003) was a pioneer in developing tendon transfer techniques for use in the hands of those with leprosy. He was the first physician to appreciate that leprosy did not cause the rotting away of tissues, but that it was the loss of the sensation of pain which made sufferers susceptible to injury.
Ashoka Gupta (November 1912 – 8 July 2008) was an Indian freedom fighter and social worker. She was the founder of Mahila Seva Samity, member of the All India Women’s Conference and president of Indian Society for Sponsorship and Adoption.
Pu Laldenga was Chief Minister of Mizoram state in North-eastern India from 1986 till 1988. Prior to that he had led the secessionist Mizo National Front from 1960 until its disbanding following Mizo Accord with Rajiv Gandhi in 1986.
