Lala Lajpat Rai (28 January 1865 – 17 November 1928) was an Indian freedom fighter. He played a pivotal role in the Indian Independence movement. He was popularly known as Punjab Kesari. He was one third of the Lal Bal Pal triumvirate. He was also associated with activities of Punjab National Bank and Lakshmi Insurance Company in their early stages in 1894.
Shruti Haasan (born 28 January 1986) is an Indian film actress and singer who works predominantly in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi language films. Born in the Haasan family, she is the daughter of actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur. She is the recipient of several awards, including three Filmfare Awards South, and has established herself as one of the leading actresses of South Indian cinema.
Gimi George (born 1992), better known by her stage name Miya, is an Indian actress and model who predominantly works in Malayalam Cinema, and few Tamil and Telugu films. She started her career as an actress by playing supporting roles in television shows. She made her film debut by playing short roles in the films Doctor Love and Ee Adutha Kaalathu.
Vinod Khosla (born 28 January 1955) is an Indian American billionaire businessman and venture capitalist. He is a co-founder of Sun Microsystems, LS9, Inc (through Khosla Ventures) and the founder of Khosla Ventures. In 2014, Forbes named him amongst the 400 richest people in the United States.
Field Marshal Kodandera “Kipper” Madappa Cariappa, OBE (28 January 1899 – 15 May 1993) was the first Indian Commander-in-Chief (C-in-C) of the Indian Army. He led Indian forces on the Western Front during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1947. He was specifically appointed Army Chief during 1965 Indo-Pak war. He is one of only two Indian Army officers to hold the five-star rank of field marshal; the other being Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
