Virat Kohli  pronunciation (help·info) (born 5 November 1988 in Delhi) is an Indian international cricketer. He is a middle order batsman, who can also open the batting. He can also bowl right arm medium pace. Kohli was the captain of the victorious Indian team at the 2008 U/19 Cricket World Cup held in Malaysia.

Vivien Leigh, Lady Olivier (5 November 1913 – 8 July 1967) was a British actress. She won the Best Actress Academy Award for her portrayal of Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire (1951), a role she also played on stage in London’s West End, as well as for her portrayal of the southern belle Scarlett O’Hara, alongside Clark Gable, in the American Civil War drama Gone with the Wind.

Vandana Shiva (Hindi: वन्दना शिवा; b. November 5, 1952, Dehra Dun, Uttarakhand, India), is a philosopher, environmental activist, author and eco feminist. Shiva, currently based in Delhi, has authored more than 20 books.

Zeba Bakhtiar (born 5 November 1971) is a Pakistani film and television actress and director. She made her television debut with a PTV Karachi centre play, Anarkali. She gained a lot of fame through her Bollywood debut, Henna. She also gained media attention due to her marriage with Adnan Sami and the subsequent custody battles of her son.

John Burdon Sanderson Haldane FRS (5 November 1892 – 1 December 1964), known as Jack (but who used ‘J.B.S.’ in his printed works), was a British-born geneticist and evolutionary biologist generally credited with a central role in the developement of neo-Darwinian thinking (popularized by Richard Dawkins’ 1976 work titled The Selfish Gene).

Dr Bhupen Hazarika (Assamese:ড: ভূপেন হাজৰিকা) (1926–2011) was an Indian lyricist, musician, singer, poet and film-maker from Assam.. His songs, written and sung mainly in the Assamese language by himself, are marked by humanity and universal brotherhood; and have been translated and sung in many languages, most notable in Bengali, and Hindi.

Baldev Raj Chopra (B.R. Chopra) (22 April 1914 – 5 November 2008) was an Indian director and producer of Bollywood movies and television serials. Best known for making Hindi films like Naya Daur (1957), Sadhna (1958), Kanoon (1961), Gumrah (1963) and Humrāz (1967) and the TV Series, Mahabharat in the late 1980s, he was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1998.

Prabhash Joshi (Hindi: प्रभाष जोशी) (15 July 1936 – 5 November 2009) was a noted Indian Journalist, especially Hindi journalism. He was a writer and political analyst. He was strongly in favor of “ethics and transparency”. He played a part in Gandhian movement, Bhoodan movement, in the surrender of bandits and in the struggle against emergency Prabhash Joshi was born in Ashta near Bhopal.

Diwan Bahadur Satappa Ramanatha Muttaiya Ramaswami Chettiar (1872 – November 5, 1918) was an Indian businessman and philanthropist from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Ramaswami Chettiar was born in 1872 to Muttaiya or Muthiah Chettiar of Chidambaram who was well known for his philanthropic activities.

Mohammed Abdul-Salim Bachi Khan (1904 – 5 November 1980) was an Indian footballer from Kolkata, which at the time was part of the British Raj. By the mid-1930s Salim, a winger, was an essential member of Calcutta’s Mohammedan Sporting Club side, and helped them to claim five successive Calcutta League titles.

1509: Don Francis-Di-Almeda of Portugal was succeeded as the Viceroy of Protuguese India by               Affonso de Albuquerque, who is regarded as the real founder at Portuguese power in                   India.
