  • Meenakshi Seshadri (born November 16, 1963) is an Indian film actress and dancer. She won the Miss India contest in 1981 at age 17. She is the youngest woman to be crowned Miss India. Meenakshi Seshadri made her debut in Painter Babu (1982) opposite Rajiv Goswami, the younger brother of Manoj Kumar. She shot to fame with the mega hit film Hero (1983) directed by Subhash Ghai.
  • Aditya Roy Kapur (born 16 November 1985) is an Indian film actor who currently features in Hindi films. Starting out as a VJ with Channel V, he made his film debut with a role in Vipul Shah’s film London Dreams (2009), and later gained visibility for his roles in the 2010 films Action Replayy and Guzaarish. Born in Mumbai, Aditya did his schooling from G. D. Somani Memorial School.
  • Ambika is an Indian film actress. She works in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films. She has an elder sister, Amba, and a younger sister Ambalika. Her another sister Radha was also an actress. Both of them acted in a number of south Indian films in 80s and they have a movie studio called “ARS Studios”. Ambika started her career as a child artist and later on acted in more than 200 South Indian films.
  • Dr. Shreeram Lagoo (born 16 November 1927) is an Indian film and theatre actor, in Hindi and Marathi. He is known for his character roles in films. He has acted in over 100 Hindi and Marathi films, over 40 Marathi, Hindi and Gujarati plays, and has directed over 20 Marathi plays. He is considered one of the greatest actors of Marathi stage during the second half of twentieth century.
  • Pullela Gopichand (born on November 16, 1973 in Nagandla of Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh) is an Indian Badminton player. He won the All England Open Badminton Championships in 2001 defeating Chen Hong of China in the finals by 15-12,15-6. He became the second Indian to achieve this feat after Prakash Padukone, who won it in 1980.
  • Sandeep Kulkarni (born Sandeep Shrikanth Kulkarni on 16 November 1964) is an actor from India who is also a painter. An actor from theatre, television, and films, his work is popular among Hindi and Marathi audiences. He has acted in three National Award-winning films: Shwaas (2004), India’s official entry to the Oscars; Dombivali Fast (2006); and Traffic Signal (2007).

  • Krishnan Nair (Malayalam: കൃഷ്ണന്‍ നായര്‍, July 25, 1939 – November 16, 1980), better known by his stage name Jayan (Malayalam: ജയന്‍), was an Indian film actor, former sailor, stunt performer and 1970s style icon. He worked in Malayalam cinema, a sector of the Indian movie industry. During his film career, he was primarily an action star and was particularly famous for his macho image.
  • Ardaseer Cursetjee (Wadia) FRS (October 6, 1808 – November 16, 1877) was an Indian shipbuilder and engineer. He is noted for having been the first Indian to be elected a Fellow of the Royal Society. He is also recorded as having introduced several (at the time) novel technologies to the city of Bombay (now Mumbai), including gas lighting, the sewing machine, steam pump-driven irrigation etc.
  • Jaiveer Agarwal (24 September 1930 – 16 November 2009) was a renowned Indian ophthalmologist and founder of Dr. Agarwal’s Group of Eye Hospitals. He was the recipient of the Padma Bhushan for medicine from then President of India A P J Abdul Kalam in March 2006. Jaiveer Agarwal was born to Dr. R.S. Agarwal. Jaiveer Agarwal went to Madras along with his wife and set up a small clinic there.
  • Rajesh Peter (August 18, 1959 – November 16, 1995) was an Indian first class cricketer who played for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy. A fast bowler, he played in the 1981-82 Trophy winning side. In the final against Karnataka he contributed 67 not out with the bat in a ninth wicket partnership of 118 with Rakesh Shukla.
