Selection Process

  • The selection will be on the basis of Written Exam, Physical test and Interview.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications for Flying Branch

  • Candidate should have passed 12th standard by scoring a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.
  • Candidate should be graduated (3 years course, 04years BE/B. Tech) by scoring a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.
  • A candidate who has cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
  • Candidates appearing in Final Year are also eligible to apply but they do not have any backlog at the time of AFSB Testing and should have Degree certificate issued by the University as per the date specified in the official notification.

Educational Qualifications for Technical Branch (Electronics and Mechanical Engineering)

  • Candidate should have passed 12th standard by scoring a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in each of the mentioned subjects (Physics and Mathematics).
  • Candidate should have passed graduation/post graduation level in Engineering/ Technology by scoring a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.
  • Candidates appearing in Final Year are also eligible to apply but they do not have any backlog at the time of AFSB Testing and should have Degree certificate issued by the University as per the date specified in the official notification.
  • A candidate who has cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

Application fee details

  • ₹250 plus the usual Bank Charges for all candidates.

How to Apply

  1. Candidates log on to http://indianairforce.nic.in/.
  2. Go to “Career IN IAF” & Select the desired post.
  3. Read the information carefully & Click on “Apply Online”.
  4. Click on “Click here for New Registration”, if you are a new user.
  5. Complete the Registration & Click on “Submit”.
  6. After Registration, Log in with Registered Number & Password.
  7. Fill the all details in the application & upload Photo, Signature.
  8. Application fee should be paid through Online & then Submit the Form.
  9. Take a print out of Online application for future use.
