President’s Secretariat –

• The President emphasised the need to see grain production, dairy farming, animal husbandry and fisheries, poultry, horticulture and sericulture as part of a composite approach to modern agriculture.
• There is also need to encourage the food processing industry to give farmers a better price and a better deal for their produce.
• When any farm-based product is exported from the country, the name of India is associated with it.

Vice President’s Secretariat –

•Health outcomes cannot be achieved by the government institutions alone and the private sector health facilities have to supplement governmental efforts.
• Childhood malnutrition continues to be a serious public health concern and a development challenge in India.
• Under five mortality rate in India at 43 per 1,000 live births
• Infant Mortality Rate at 34 per 1,000 live births
• Neonatal Mortality Rates at 25 per 1,000 live births
• Estimated that 10.8 lakh under five children die annually

• People should remain united and fight against divisive forces.
• Jal Mitti Rath Yatra: objective of the yatra is to strengthen the nation
•India has a rich cultural heritage and everyone should take a pledge to maintain its culture.
•India wants to become a powerful nation for the welfare of the whole world and not to intimidate people living in other countries.

Home Ministry-

•Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will be on a three-day visit to India from tomorrow.
•He will have meetings with President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
•During the visit, both sides will review the progress achieved in the bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
• Besides his official engagements in Delhi, President Rouhani will also visit Hyderabad.
