Raja Ravi Varma (April 29, 1848 – October 2, 1906) was an Indian painter from the princely state of Travancore (presently in Kerala) who achieved recognition for his depiction of scenes from the epics of the Mahabharata and Ramayana. His paintings are considered to be among the best examples of the fusion of Indian traditions with the techniques of European academic.
Zubin Mehta born 29 April 1936) is an Indian Parsi conductor of western classical music. He is the Music Director for Life of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Zubin Mehta was born into a Parsi family in Bombay, British India, the son of Mehli and Tehmina Mehta.
Deepika Chikhalia (Gujarati: દીપિકા ચિખલિયા) is an Indian actress who rose to fame playing Sita in Ramanand Sagar’s hit television series Ramayan. She met with limited success in films in the late 1980s and early 1990s. She followed up her television career with a move into politics.

Shankar Lakshman (1933 – April 29, 2006) was an Indian hockey player. He was goalkeeper of the Indian team in the 1956, 1960 and 1964 Olympics, that won two gold medals and one silver medal. He was the first goalkeeper to become captain of an international hockey team and was awarded the Arjuna award and the Padmasri by the Indian government.

Dominic Christopher Henry Rieu (born 26 October 1916 in Bombay, died 29 April 2008) was a classical scholar and son of the famous E. V. Rieu. After attending Highgate School, he studied English and Classics at Queen’s College, Oxford. As part of the West Yorkshire Regiment in 1941, he was injured at Cheren and subsequently awarded the Military Cross.
