Peerzada Ghulam Ahmad 3 September 1885 − 9 April 1952), better known by the pen name Mahjoor was a renowned poet of the Indian Kashmir Valley, along with contemporaries, Zinda Kaul, Abdul Ahad Azad, Dinanath Nadim.

Arjan Bajwa (born 3 September 1977) is an Indian actor who has acted in Telugu and Hindi films. Born and brought up in Delhi, His father was the Deputy Mayor of Delhi – S. S Bajwa and his mother is a homemaker.

Sadhu Sundar Singh (September 3, 1889, Patiala State, India) was an Indian Christian missionary. He is believed to have died in the foothills of the Himalayas in 1929.

Vivek Oberoi (born 3 September 1976) is an Indian actor. He is the son of Bollywood actor Suresh Oberoi and Yashodhara Oberoi. Born to a Punjabi father and a Tamil mother, Vivek attended Mayo college in Ajmer. At an actors’ workshop in London he was spotted by the director of New York University who took Vivek off to New York, where he completed his Masters Degree in film acting.

Shakti Kapoor (born 3 September 1952) is an Indian Bollywood actor. He is known for playing comic and villainous roles and for acting alongside comedian Kader Khan as his sidekick along with Asrani in over 100 films. Shakti Kapoor was born in Delhi, India to a Punjabi family.

Narayan Maharaj (May 20, 1885 – September 3, 1945) was a Hindu Indian spiritual master considered by his followers to be a sadguru. He lived in Kedgaon, India. Narayan was born in Bagalkot in the Indian state of Karnataka.

Pasupuleti Ramesh Naidu (1933 – September 3, 1987) was a South Indian music director. His major works were in Telugu films in the 1970s and 1980s. The music he did for the film Meghasandesam is considered as his best score.

Ashes Prasad Mitra (21 February 1927 – 3 September 2007), FRS, was the former Director General of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) from 26.2.1986 to 16.4.1991. He was recipient of the Padma Bhushan award in the year 1987.
