Bhikaiji Rustom Cama (24 September 1861 – 13 August 1936) was a prominent figure in the Indian independence movement. Bhikhaiji Rustom Cama was born on 24 September 1861 in Bombay (now Mumbai) into a large, well-off Parsi family. Her parents, Sorabji Framji Patel and Jaijibai Sorabji Patel, were well known in the city.

Srinu Vaitla  is an Indian film director associated with Telugu cinema. He is from the village of Kandulapalem, East Godavari District. His first mainstream movie as a director was Nee Kosam (1999) starring Ravi Teja and Maheshwari. Though the movie was an average flick at the box office, it was critically acclaimed. He shot to fame with his second movie Anandam (2001).

Mohinder Amarnath Bhardwaj   (born 24 September 1950) is a former Indian cricketer (1969–1989) and current cricket analyst. He is commonly known as “Jimmy”. He is the son of Lala Amarnath, the first post-independence captain of India. His brother Surinder Amarnath was a Test player. His brother Rajinder Amarnath is a former first class cricket and current cricket coach.

Autar Singh Paintal M.D., Ph.D. (September 24, 1925 in Mogok, Burma – December 21, 2004 in Delhi, India) was a medical scientist who has made pioneering discoveries in the area of neurosciences and respiratory sciences. He is a merit student and did his postgraduation in Physiology from King George Medical College .

Padmini (12 June 1932 – 24 September 2006) was an Indian actress and trained Bharathanatyam dancer who has acted in over 250 Indian films. She has acted in the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi language films. Padmini along with her elder sister Lalitha and her younger sister Ragini, were called “Travancore sisters”.

Surendranatha Thilakan  born 10 December 1938), known mononymously as Thilakan, is an Indian actor who works in Malayalam cinema and theatre. Thilakan is regarded as one of the finest actors in Indian cinema, known for his excellence in character roles. He was awarded Padma Shri on 25 January 2009.

Aluri Chakrapani or Aluri Venkata Subbarao (August 5, 1908 – September 24, 1975) was a multilingual genius and a popular writer and director of South Indian films. Aluri was born in Itanagar village near Tenali, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India, in a middle class agricultural family. He learnt Hindi under the tutelage of the well-known poet Vraj Nandan Sharma.
