Shaan (born on 30 September 1972), is an Indian playback singer, and television host. He hosted the shows Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs, Star Voice of India and “Star Voice of India 2”.

Prosenjit Chatterjee ( born 30 September 1962), professionally known as Proshenjit, is a Bengali film actor. His fans affectionately called him Bumba Da.

Deepti Bhatnagar (born 30 September 1967) is an Indian model and actress. Deepti Bhatnagar was born in a Hindu Kayastha family from Meerut. She did her early education from Delhi and attended Meerut University.

Anna Kashfi (born September 30, 1934) is an Anglo-Indian former film actress, who had a brief Hollywood career in the 1950s and is best known for having been married to Marlon Brando. Johanna O’Callaghan was born in Darjeeling and raised in Calcutta, India and, later, Cardiff, Wales, where the family moved in 1947.

Shyama Charan Lahiri (September 30, 1828 – September 26, 1895), best known as Lahiri Mahasaya, was an Indian yogi and a disciple of Mahavatar Babaji. He was also popularly known as Yogiraj and Kashi Baba.

Shankar Nagarkatte (9 November 1954 – 30 September 1990) popularly known as Shankar Nag was a popular actor and director of Kannada cinema. He also directed and acted in the teleserial, Malgudi days, based on celebrated novelist R.K.Narayan’s short stories.

Laxmikant-Pyarelal were a popular Indian composer duo, consisting of Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar (1937–1998) and Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma (born 1940). They composed music for about 635 Hindi movies from 1963 to 1998.

Madhavrao Scindia (10 March 1945 – 30 September 2001) was the titular Maharaja of Gwalior from 1961 till 2001. He was also a prominent Indian politician and minister from the Congress Party.

Chandrabose (died September 30, 2010) was an Indian Tamil language music composer and singer. He has composed music for more than 300 movies between late 1980s and early 1990s. In 2007 he made his debut on the silver screen as an actor.

Peary Charan Sarkar (1823–1875), Pyari Charan Sarkar in contemporary documents, was an educationist and textbook writer in nineteenth century Bengal. His series of Reading Books introduced a whole generation of Bengalis to the English language, sold in the millions and were translated into every major Indian language.
