FODDER SCAM
• RJD Chief Lalu Prasad was sentenced to 14 years in jail by a special CBI court in
Ranchi in the fourth fodder scam case today.
• The court also imposed a fine of 60 lakh rupees on Lalu Prasad.
• The case relates to illegal withdrawal of three crore 76 lakh rupees from the
Dumka Treasury when Mr Prasad was the Chief Minister of undivided Bihar.

• Environment Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has appealed to

homes tonight.
•Dr Vardhan said, people should make it a habit that they
practice green good deeds in their daily life.

• Madhavpur Mela, starting tomorrow, will be
unique in its nature.
• Madhavpur in Gujarat has its historical
identity as Lord Krisha married Rukmini

•He said, the festival will unite the North

• The Minister said the festival will see a vibrant cultural
trail of art, handloom and handicrafts, dance, music,
poetry, story-telling and folk drama from Arunachal
Pradesh, Manipur and other North-Eastern States with
the aim to integrate the rich cultures of the two regions.
•He said a jatha of 150 persons from the North-East will
be given a traditional welcome at Madhavpur Mela as
representatives of Rukmini’s family.
