Naveen Patnaik (born October 16, 1946) is an Indian politician and Chief Minister of Orissa, India, and the chief of Biju Janata Dal, a regional political party in Orissa. He is also a writer and has published three books. Patnaik was born in Cuttack, Orissa to Biju Patnaik, former Chief Minister of Orissa, and Gyan Patnaik.

D.A.Joseph (born 16 October 1951) is a popular scholar and orator in Hindu Philosophy. He made an in depth study of world religions. He has spent more than three decades in the propagation of Santana Dharama. He is an ardent follower of Sri Ramanuja’s Visishtadvaita.

Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavatar was a Carnatic music singer from Palakkad (state of Kerala, India). Known by his village name Chembai, or simply as Bhagavatar, he was born to Anantha Bhagavatar and Parvati Ammal in 1896, at Kottayi near Palakkad on Janmashtami day, with Bharani star in the month of Chingam.

Edasseri Govindan Nair (December 23, 1906 – October 16, 1974) was a prominent Indian poet from Kerala who wrote in his native Malayalam tongue. His works include 19 books and over 300 poems in 10 anthologies, 6 books of plays and a collection of essays.

Syed Ghulam Bhik Nairang (September 26, 1876 – October 16, 1952), also known as Meer Nairang, was a distinguished lawyer, a poet and a prominent Indian Muslim leader. He held office with the All-India Muslim League, India, pre-partition (1947).
