Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit for APPSC
- The age of the candidate should not be more than thirty-four years and not less than eighteen years as on first day of August in the year the examination is going to be held
- Age relaxation is offered as per Government rules
- The candidates belonging to Schedule Tribe/Schedule Caste/Backward Class/ Employees of the State Government, upper age relaxation is given for- five years
Educational Criteria
Post Code 01 to 04
- A Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University in India established or incorporated by or under Central Act, Provincial Act, a State Act or an Institution recognized by the U.G.C. or an equivalent qualification.
Post Code 05
- A Bachelor’s Degree in B.E. (Fire), provided that if BE (Fire) candidates are not available Candidates with the degree in any discipline will be considered.
Post Code 06 to 08
- Degree of Graduation from esteemed institution in India or incorporated by or under Central Act, Provincial Act, a State Act or an Institution recognized by the U.G.C. or an equivalent qualification.
Post Code 09
- A Degree in Commerce OR Economics OR Mathematics of a University recognized by the U.G.C. with at least Second class in the subject OR CA of the UK or India or an Incorporated Accountant (London)
Post Code 10 to 12
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a well-recognized university or institution is needed.
Post Code 13
- A Bachelor’s Degree
- Preference shall be given to persons possessing a degree in “Sociology” or “Social Work”
Post Code 14 to 19
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a well-recognized university or institution is needed.
Exam Pattern of APPSC
The Combined Competitive Examination will be held in three stages-
- Preliminary Examination (Multiple Choice Objective Type)
- Main Examination (Written & Interview)
- Personality Test
