JOB PROFILE
Description- The State of Uttarakhand came into existence on 09th November 2000 under the Reorganisation of Uttar Pradesh Act 2000. The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission was Constituted under the provisions of the Article 315 of the Constitution of India by the Governor of Uttarakhand vide Notification No. 247/1-Karmik-2001 dated 14th March 2001. At present the strength of the Commission is the Chairman & the six Members.
The Uttarakhand is being headed by a chairman and six members. The term of the member is fixed for a period of 6 years. The maximum age for a member to hold the office is 62 years.
The chief function of the UKPSC is to conduct examinations for the recruitment of officers for Uttarakhand state in various government offices.
The recruitment process starts with the release of official notification which contains all information about the vacant posts, UKPSC examination pattern, UKPCS eligibility criteria, how to apply, UKPCS exam date, UKPSC admit card, UKPSC result etc.
UK PSC exam is held in three stages. The first stage is called UK PCS Preliminary or UK PCS Prelims. This is a multiple-choice type examination. Those candidates who qualify UKPSC Pre can appear in the second stage called UKPSC Mains. This is essay type exam. After qualifying UK PSC Mains an aspirant will have to appear in the final stage that is UK PSC Interview. The result is prepared by adding the marks obtained in UK PCS Mains and UK PSC Interview. Only best of the candidates can make it to UK PSC.
