Viswanathan Anand  born 11 December 1969) is an Indian chess Grandmaster and the current World Chess Champion. Anand has won the World Chess Championship five times (2000, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2012), and has been the undisputed World Champion since 2007. Anand became India’s first grandmaster in 1988.
Dilip Kumar, (born 11 December 1922, as Muhammad Yusuf Khan) is an Indian film actor and a former Member of Parliament. He made debut as an actor in the drama picture Jwar Bhata (1944), produced by Bombay Talkies. He is also known as Tragedy King, and is described as “the ultimate method actor” by Satyajit Ray. Kumar’s career has spanned five decades and over 60 films.
Pranab Kumar Mukherjee born 11 December 1935) is an Indian politician. He is a senior member of the Indian National Congress and has held important ministerial portfolios in the government of India during his political career. Mukherjee is the UPA nominee in the 2012 presidential election.
Osho (11 December 1931 – 19 January 1990), born Chandra Mohan Jain, and also known as Acharya Rajneesh from the 1960s onwards, as Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh during the 1970s and 1980s and as Osho from 1989, was an Indian mystic, guru, and spiritual teacher who garnered an international following. A professor of philosophy, he travelled throughout India in the 1960s as a public speaker.
Arya (born as Jamshad on 11 December 1980) is an Indian film actor who mainly appears in Tamil films. He is best known for his roles in the films Pattiyal (2006), Naan Kadavul (2009), Arinthum Ariyamalum, Madrasapattinam (2010), Boss Engira Bhaskaran (2010) & Vettai (2012). Arya was born on 11 December 1980 in Trikarpur, Kerala.

Madurai Shanmukhavadivu Subbulakshmi Madhurai Shanmukhavadivu Subbulakshmi  16 September 1916 – 11 December 2004), also known as M.S., was a renowned Carnatic vocalist. She was the first musician ever to be awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor.
Kavi Pradeep (1915–1998), born Ramchandra Baryanji Dwivedi, was a renowned poet and songwriter who is best known for his patriotic song, Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo, written as tribute to the soldiers who had died defending the country, during the Sino-Indian War.
Nanabhoy “Nani” Ardeshir Palkhivala (January 16, 1920 – December 11, 2002) was an Indian jurist and economist. Nani Palkhivala was born in 1920 in Bombay to blue collar, middle-class Parsi parents. His family name derives from the profession of his forefathers (a common practice among Parsis), who had been manufacturers of palanquins (“palkhis”).
Mario Joao Carlos do Rosario de Brito Miranda, ComIH (2 May 1926 – 11 December 2011), popularly known as Mario Miranda or Mario de Miranda, was an Indian cartoonist based in Loutolim in the Indian state of Goa. Miranda had been a regular with The Times of India and other newspapers in Mumbai.
