He grew up in Bangalore and had his early education at The Bishop’s School in Pune, then St. Joseph’s Boys’ High School in Bangalore.
Sri Ramana Maharshi (December 30, 1879 – April 14, 1950), born Venkataraman Iyer, was a Hindu spiritual master (“jnani”). He was born to a Tamil-speaking Brahmin family in Tiruchuzhi, Tamil Nadu. After experiencing at age 16 what he later described as liberation (moksha), he left home for Arunachala, a mountain considered sacred by Hindus.

Avinash Rai Khanna (born December 30, 1960) is a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represents the Hoshiarpur constituency of Punjab and is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) political party. He was elected as an MLA from Garshankar in year 2002.

Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi (26 August 1927) is an Indian architect, considered an important figure of South Asian architecture and noted for his contributions to the evolution of architectural discourse in India. He is known for his contributions to the architecture of Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
Chitturu Nagayya or Chittor V. Nagaiah birth name – Vuppaladadiyam Nagayya (28 March 1904 – 30 December 1973) was an Indian actor, composer, director, producer, writer and playback singer of Telugu film industry, Andhra Pradesh, India.
Datta Naik, also credited as N. Dutta, is a Hindi film music director. Born in the then Portuguese colony of Goa, Naik, started his career as an assistant to the music director Sachin Dev Burman. His partnership with song writer Sahir Ludhianvi was popular and successful.
Vettath Balakrishna Eradi (19 June 1922 – 30 December 2010) was a Judge of Supreme Court of India. He also served as the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court and as President of the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) and the Chairman of Ravi & Beas Waters Disputes Tribunal.
