Army is not there to speak. Nepali Army is a fully professional military force. It would definitely play its role in the right time, as per the directives of the government based on our Constitution.”

  • There was no immediate response from the Indian side to Pokhrel’sremarks.

  • They receive same basic rates of pay although allowances might differ depending upon the differences in cost of living where the soldier might be serving.
  • They are allowed extended period of leave in Nepal every three years.
  • They are liable for service worldwide.
