- “Dubai-Kozhikode Air India flight (IX-1344) skidded during landing at Karipur Airport at around 45 pm today,“ Kondotty Police told news agency ANI.

- According to initial reports, the pilot of the aircraft- Deepak Vasant Sathe died in the mishap and the condition of the co-pilot is believed to be critical.

- In the video, Taneja alleged the airline has asked its pilots to do 98% of landings in “Flap 3” mode, which allows it to save fuel.
- He said if a pilot does not do 98% of landings in “Flap 3” mode, the airline considers it a violation of its standard operating procedure (SOP).
