His most acclaimed film roles to date have been that of Dr. Dipankar Roy in Ek Doctor Ki Maut (1991) and Abba ji, King Duncan in Vishal Bhardwaj’s adaption of Macbeth; Maqbool(2003), both of which got him National Film Awards.
- Terence Hanbury White (29 May 1906 – 17 January 1964) was an English author best known for his sequence of Arthurian novels, The Once and Future King, first published together in 1958. White was born in Bombay, British India to English parents, Garrick Hanbury White, an Indian police superintendent, and Constance White.

- Prithviraj Kapoor 3 November 1901 –29 May 1972) was a pioneer of Indian theatre and of the Hindi film industry, who started his career as an actor, in the silent era of Hindi cinema, associated with IPTA and who founded Prithvi Theatres, a travelling theatre company based in Mumbai, in 1942.
- Chaudhary Charan Singh (Caudharī Caraṇ Siṅh; 23 December 1902 – 29 May 1987) was the fifth Prime Minister of the Republic of India, serving from 28 July 1979 until 14 January 1980. Born into a Jat family in 1902, Charan Singh entered politics as part of the Independence Movement.
