- From 40 tigers in 2001 to 0 In 2009 (except 2 tigress) to 52 in 2020
- Tiger Reintroduction Project, Tigers re-located here from Bandhavgarh National Park and Kanha National Park in March 2009.
- Thanks to the efforts of dedicated officials and conservationists, tiger population made a strong comeback. In just 10 years, the tiger count at Panna went up to 52
Panna Biosphere Reserve
- Home to Panna National Park and Ken Gharial Wildlife Sanctuary
- The reserve is home to the tiger, leopard, chital, chinkara, nilgai, sambhar and sloth bear.
- It lies within narrow belt of table top mountains of ‘Vindhyan Hill Ranges’ and part of ‘Bundelkhand’ region.
- Home to Gond tribe
