Eligibility Criteria
(a) Nationality: The candidates who wish to appear in the civil services examination should be a citizen of India or should be a citizen of Nepal or subject of Bhutan or he/she must be Tibetan Refugee who was migrated to India to settle permanently before January 01, 1962 or person of Indian origin who were migrated from Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Kenya, Vietnam, and Zaire.
(b) Educational Qualification: The candidates applying for the UPSC Civil Services examination must have a graduation degree from a govt. recognized university.
Candidates those who are pursuing graduation and are waiting for their final results can also apply. But only on the condition that the result should be declared before filling the application for the mains exam.
(c) Age Limit: UPSC has a pre-defined age limit for the candidates who want to apply for the UPSC IAS 2019 exam. Below we have defined the required age of the candidates belonging to different categories as on 01st August 2019:

UPSC IAS Exam pattern for Prelims & Mains is shared below. The total no. of questions asked in the UPSC IAS preliminary 2019 exam is 400, the description of the same is as follows:

Note: Paper A & B is of Qualifying in Nature (25% i.e. 75 marks required). Whereas marks of Paper I to VII will be counted to determine the final order of merit.

- Read the information carefully & Click on “Apply Online”.
- Click on “Click here for New Registration”, if you are a new user.
- Complete the Registration & Click on “Submit”.
- After Registration, Log in with Registered Number & Password.
- Fill the all details in the application & upload Photo, Signature.
- Application fee should be paid through Online & then Submit the Form.
- Take a print out of Online application for future use.
