    • Yami Gautam (born on 24 November 1986) is an Indian film and television actress. Her 2012 film Vicky Donor is her first film in Bollywood. Her earlier appearances are on Indian television serials like Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam and Chand Ke Paar Chalo. Her claim to fame role was in Vicky Donor. Yami’s father Mukesh Gautam is a coordinator in Zee News channel.
    • Salim Khan (born 24 November 1935) is an Indian actor and screenwriter. In Hindi cinema, Khan is best known for his prolific work in the latter area. Khan was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. Khan’s father was a police officer, while his mother had died when he was still young.
    • Arundhati Roy (born 24 November 1961) is an Indian novelist. She won the Booker Prize in 1997 for her novel, The God of Small Things, and has also written two screenplays and several collections of essays. Her writings on various social, environmental and political issues have been a subject of major controversy in India.
    • Pete Best (born 24 November 1941) is a British musician, principally known as the original drummer in The Beatles. He was born in the city of Madras, which was then part of British India. After Best’s mother, Mona Best (1924–1988), moved to Liverpool in 1945, she opened The Casbah Coffee Club in the cellar of the Bests’ large house in Liverpool, which became very popular.
    • Celina Jiya Jaitley (born 24 November 1981) is an Afghanistan-born Indian actress who mainly appears in Bollywood films. A former beauty queen and model, she was crowned Femina Miss India Universe in 2001. Jaitley was born in Kabul, Afghanistan to a Punjabi Hindu Army Colonel V.K. Jaitley and Meeta, an Afghan Hindu, who was a nurse in the Indian Army and a former beauty queen.
  • Amit Mishra pronunciation (help·info) (born 24 November 1982) is an Indian cricketer. He is a right arm leg break bowler and right-handed lower order batsman. He usually bats number 10 or 11. Mishra is an attacking leg spinner who bowls leg break. Mishra was initially called into the Indian squad for a Test against the West Indies in 2002, but was not selected.

    • Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji (Punjabi: ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ਼ ਬਹਾਦੁਰ [ɡʊru teɣ bəhɑdʊɾ]; 1 April 1621 – 24 November 1675) became the 9th Guru Ji of Sikhs on 20 March 1665, following in the footsteps of His Grand-Nephew, Guru Har Krishan Sahib Ji. Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji was executed on the orders of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in Delhi.
    • Tun Tun (1 January 1923 – 24 November 2003) was the screen name of Indian playback singer and actress-comedienne, Uma Devi Khatri, who is often called the ‘first woman comedienne of Hindi cinema’. Uma Devi Khatri, was born in a conservative Punjabi family, in a small village in Uttar Pradesh, where after the premature death of her parents while she was still her teens.
    • Jamuna Baruah (Assamese: যমুনা বৰুৱা) (1919 – 24 November 2005) was a leading Indian actress. Jamuna was the fourth of the six daughters of Puran Gupta, a resident of a village near Agra, India. Each of the sisters was named after an Indian river like Ganga, Jamuna, Bhagirathi etc. As destiny would have it, Jamuna came to reside in Calcutta, a leading film producing city in India.
  • Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha(ਭਾਈ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਸਿਂਘ ਨਾਭਾ )(August 30, 1861- November 24, 1938) was a Sikh lexicographer and encyclopedist. His most influential work, Mahan Kosh, inspired generations of scholars after him. He also played a role in the Singh Sabha movement. He was born to Narain Singh and Har Kaur in a Dhillon Jatt family at the village of Sabaz Banera, located in what was then Patiala State.
  • Mar Dionysius II, born Pulikkottil Joseph Ittoop (January 15, 1742 – November 24, 1816) was Malankara Metropolitan from March 22, 1815 until his death. Despite the briefness of his reign he made lasting contributions to the Malankara Church. He was also known as Mar Thoma X, in keeping with Malankara Church tradition.

Notable Events: 

  • 1919 -> Gandhiji presides over All-India Khilafat conference at Delhi.
  • 1926 -> Aurobindo Ghose, former I.C.S. and revolutionary, attained full enlightenment I.e ‘Purna Siddhi’.
  • 1932 ->  The Third Round Table Conference ended in London. As Gandhi was in prison because of his civil disobedience movement he could not attend it. This conference ended without achieving anything
  • 1941 -> Attack on Pearl Harbour.
