Paritala Ravindra popularly known as Paritala Ravi (August 30, 1958 – January 24, 2005) was a political leader and factionist in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, India. He was a former cabinet minister in Andhra Pradesh and a sitting Member of the Legislative Assembly when he was slain by his political rivals in 2005.

Nagerkoyil Sudalaimuthu Krishnan popularly known as Kalaivanar and also as ‘NSK’ was a leading Tamil film comedian, drama artist, playback singer and writer in the early stages of the Tamil film industry – in the 1940s and 1950s.
Krishna Kumar Birla (11 November 1918 – 30 August 2008) was a noted Indian industrialist of the Birla family, and the second son of Ghanshyam Das Birla. He also served as a Member of the Rajya Sabha. Birla was one of the industrialists who supported economic reforms in India in 1991.
Prasanna Coomar Tagore (1801-1886) was son of Gopi Mohan Tagore, one of the founders of Hindu College. He belonged to the Pathuriaghata branch of the Tagore family and was one of the leaders of the conservative branch of Hindu society.
Lindsay Gordon Anderson (17 April 1923 – 30 August 1994) was an Indian-born, British feature film, theatre and documentary director, film critic, and leading light of the Free Cinema movement and the British New Wave. He is most widely remembered for his 1968 film.
