Swami Vivekananda  12 January 1863 – 4 July 1902), born Narendranath Datta was an Indian Hindu monk, a chief disciple of the 19th-century Indian mystic Ramakrishna. He was a key figure in the introduction of the Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world and is credited with raising interfaith awareness, bringing Hinduism to the status of a major world religion during the late 19th century.
Sakshi Tanwar (born 12 January 1973) is an Indian television and Bollywood actress. She is best known for playing the role of Parvati in the television soap opera, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. She is one of the leading ladies of Indian Television. Sakshi’s consequent continued patronage of the largely female audience of the show had been instrumental in changing the fortunes of the production house Bala.
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi   (12 January 1917 – 5 February 2008), born Mahesh Prasad Varma, developed the Transcendental Meditation technique and was the leader and guru of the Transcendental Meditation movement, which has been characterized as a new religious movement and also as non-religious.
Priyanka Vadra (born 12 January 1972), is an Indian politician. She is the granddaughter of Feroze Gandhi and Indira Gandhi, and belongs to the Nehru-Gandhi family. Priyanka Vadra (née Priyanka Gandhi) is the second of two children of late Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, current President of the Indian National Congress, and the Chairperson of the ruling United Progressive Alliance.
Arun Govil  (born 12 January 1958) is an award-winning Indian actor, producer and director. He has acted in various Hindi, Bhojpuri, Oriya and Telugu movies. He is best known for playing Rama in Ramanand Sagar’s hit television series Ramayan (1986). Arun Govil was born in Ramnagar near Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

Surjya Sen (alternatively Surya Sen, Bengali: সূর্য সেন, pronounced Surjo Sen; 22 March 1894 – 12 January 1934) (also known as Master-da Surjya Sen) (Bengali: মাস্টারদা সূর্য সেন) was a prominent Bengali freedom fighter, an Indian independence activist and the chief architect of anti-British freedom movement active centered in Chittagong, Bengal (now in Bangladesh).
Ramakrishna Mahabaleshwar Hegde  (b. August 29, 1926 – d. January 12, 2004) was an Indian politician who served as the Chief Minister of Karnataka for three terms and as Minister of Commerce and Industry in the Union government. His parents were Shri Mahabaleshwar Hegde and Saraswati Hegde who hailed from a Havyaka Brahmin family of Uttara Kannada district.
Chellapilla Satyanarayana Sastry, better known as Chellapilla Satyam (1933 – 12 January 1989) was an eminent Indian music director. He was popular in the Telugu and Kannada cinema fields in the 1960s and 1980s. Sathyam is best remembered as “Andhra RD Burman”. He was born in Komarada village in Vizianagaram district, Andhra Pradesh.
David Charles Cunningham Watson, (20 February 1920–12 January 2004) was an English teacher, author and creationist, born in Bharatpur, India. Watson graduated from the University of Cambridge with First class honours in Classics, winning the Carus Greek Testament Prize in 1947.
