Akshay Kumar (born Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia) on September 9, 1967) is an Indian film actor, producer and martial artist who has appeared in over a hundred Hindi films. He has been nominated for Filmfare Award several times and won two times.

Captain Vikram Batra PVC (September 9, 1974 – July 7, 1999) was an officer of the Indian Army, posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest award for valour, for his actions during the 1999 Kargil War in Kashmir between India and Pakistan.

Bharatendu Harishchandra (September 9, 1850 – January 6, 1885) is known as the father of modern Hindi literature as well as Hindi theatre. He is considered one of the greatest Hindi writers of modern India. A recognized poet, he was also a trend setter in Hindi prose-writing.

Prof. Kotcherlakota Rangadhama Rao, (9 September 1898–20 June 1972) was an Indian physicist in the field of Spectroscopy. Rangadhama Rao is best known for his work on Spectroscopy, his role in the development of Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance (NQR), and his long association with Physics labs of Andhra University.

Ujjal Dev Singh Dosanjh, PC, QC, (born September 9, 1947) is a Sikh Canadian lawyer and politician. He served as 33rd Premier of British Columbia from 2000 to 2001 and as a Liberal Party of Canada Member of Parliament from 2004 to 2011 including a stint as Minister of Health from 2004 until 2006 when the party lost government.

Venu Nagavally (16 April 1949 – 9 September 2010) was an Indian actor, screenwriter and director who was active in Malayalam cinema. Son of late writer, commentator, and broadcaster Nagavally R. S. Kurup, Venu has acted in about fifty films, directed films such as Sukhamo Devi (1986), Sarvakalashala (1987), Lal Salam (1989), and Aye Auto (1990)

Verghese Kurien (born 26 November 1921 at Kozhikode, Kerala) is the founder of the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), an apex cooperative organization that manages the Amul food brand. He is recognised as the man behind the success of the Amul brand.

Mona “Mo” Best (3 January 1924 – 9 September 1988) was born in India, and is best known as the mother of Pete Best (b. 24 November 1941), who was an early member of The Beatles. Mona also had two other sons, Rory (b. 1945), and Vincent “Roag” Best (b. 1962).

Gulabrai Sipahimalani ‘Ram’ Ramchand  pronunciation (help·info) (born 26 July 1927, Karachi-9 September 2003, Mumbai) was an Indian cricketer who captained India to a famous win against Australia in his only series as captain.

P. N. Menon (1928 – 9 September 2008) was an Indian film director and art director in Malayalam cinema. Born in a poor family in Vadakkaanchery, Kerala, he completed his studies at Thrissur and from School of Art in Chennai. He came to Chennai when he was only 20 years old.
