Mangal Pandey (19 July 1827 – 8 April 1857) was an Indian soldier who played a key part in events immediately preceding the outbreak of the Indian rebellion of 1857. He was a sepoy (sipahi) in the 34th Bengal Native Infantry (BNI) regiment of the British East India Company. While contemporary British opinion denounced him as a traitor and mutineer, Pandey is a hero in modern India.

Gadde Rajendra Prasad (born 19 July 1956), is an Indian film actor, who works predominantly in Telugu cinema. He is one of the method actors in Telugu film industry. In 1991, he has received, Andhra Pradesh state’s Nandi Award for Best Actor for Erra Mandaram.

Malavika is the stage name of Shweta Konnur (born 19 July 1979), in Bangalore, an Indian actress. She started out as a model for Fair and Lovely and became an actress in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. Malavika got married to Malayalam films worker Sumesh Menon in 2007 after their 2 years love.

Harsha Bhogle (born 19 July 1961) is an Indian cricket commentator and journalist. He was born in a Marathi speaking family in Hyderabad. Bhogle has recently become a freelance TV presenter. Harsha Bhogle is the son of A. D. Bhogle, a professor of French, and Shalini Bhogle, a professor of psychology.

Jayant Vishnu Narlikar (born July 19, 1938) is an Indian cosmologist and physicist. Narlikar is a proponent of steady state cosmology. He developed with Sir Fred Hoyle the conformal gravity theory, commonly known as Hoyle–Narlikar theory.

Hans Ram Singh Rawat, known as Shri Hans Ji Maharaj (November 8, 1900 – July 19, 1966) was born in Gadh-ki-Sedhia, north-east of Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India. His parents were Ranjit Singh Rawat and Kalindi Devi. He was considered a Satguru by his students who called him affectionally “Shri Maharaji” or just “Guru Maharaji.”

Girilal Jain (1924 – 19 July 1993), was an Indian journalist. He served as the editor of The Times of India from 1978 till 1988. He was sympathetic to Hindu nationalism and authored books on the subject, the best known of which, The Hindu Phenomenon, was published posthumously.

Maharaja Pratap Singh Gaekwad (29 June 1908 – 19 July 1968) was a Maharaja of Baroda who succeeded his grandfather Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III at his death in 1939. He ruled for a period of twelve years, from 1939 to 1951, when he was deposed by the Government of India and exiled to England.

Alan Garnett Davenport (Sept. 19, 1932 – July 19, 2009) was a professor at the University of Western Ontario and founder of its Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel Laboratory. He analyzed the wind’s effect on a significant portion of the worlds tallest buildings including the building formerly known as the CN Tower, Sears Tower, Citicorp Center, and the World Trade Center.
