Study in India website
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj launched the Study in India website, marking the setting in motion of an ambitious scheme to attract foreign students to study in good Indian higher educational institutions. The scheme will entail the admission of foreign students from 30 countries — with a focus on South Asia, South East Asia, West Asia and Africa — to study in 160 quality higher educational institutions of India as per NIRF ranks and NAAC grades.

Sh. Hardeep Puri, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs (I/C) launched a Mobile App (m-Awas) for allotment of Government accommodations in General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) in Delhi The application has been developed by NIC.

HDFC Bank launched IRA 2.0, its interactive humanoid at the Koramangala Branch in Bengaluru.
e-Pragati core platform
Andhra Pradesh launched ‘e-Pragati core platform’ e-Pragati, a forward-looking digital initiative, is aimed at connecting the citizen to 34 departments, 336 autonomous organisations and 745-plus services. Through this project, the State government intends to realise the vision of ‘Sunrise AP 2022’.
‘Aabhar-Aapki seva ka’
Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh launched an online portal and mobile app called ‘AabhaarAapki seva ka’ for the online pensioners of the state.
“Model Code of Conduct Violation Reporting App“ Election Commission will launch multi-lingual mobile application called “Model Code of Conduct Violation Reporting App” ahead of the 2019 elections. It aims to share evidence of malpractice by political parties, their candidates & activists directly with the electoral body. It was made available for the 1st time in Bengaluru in the run-up to the recently concluded Karnataka Assembly polls
GSDP-ENVIS App
The Union Environment Ministry launched its full fledged Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP) that aims to train over 5.5 lakh workers in environment and forest sectors in the country through 30 courses by 2021. Environment minister Harsh Vardhan also unveiled a related mobile app (GSDP-ENVIS). The GSDP was launched last year as a pilot project in 10 districts of the country.
‘MahaVedh‘ App
Maharashtra Chief Minister launched ‘MahaVedh’, a mobile application which provides weather-related information to farmers. The application will provide real-time information on temperature, humidity and a forecast for 15 days. The application will also provide forecasts of lightning
My MP Rojgar Portal
Madhya Pradesh CM, Shivraj Singh Chauhan launched the “My MP Rojgar Portal” in Bhopal under ‘Pahal’, which is a Mukhyamantri Career Counselling programme. This portal will provide jobs to youth as per their skills, interests and educational qualifications.
‘Digital India Internship Scheme’ portal
Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has launched ‘Digital India Internship Scheme’ portal in which a token of Rs. 10,000 will also be offered to interns as remuneration per month. The internship scheme will enable the young students to learn closely about working of the transformative initiative of Digital India.

‘Rail MADAD’ App
In a bid to ease the travelling experience of the passengers Ministry of Railways launched Rail MADAD mobile app. Rail MADAD (Mobile Application for Desired Assistance During travel) registers a complaint with minimum inputs from passenger and issues unique ID instantly Rail MADAD also displays various helpline numbers (eg. Security, Child helpline etc) and provides direct calling facility
Mobile App ‘ReUnite‘
Union Minister of Commerce, Suresh Prabhu launched a Mobile App called ReUnite which helps to track and trace missing children. The app provides facility to parents and citizens where they can upload pictures of children, and provide detailed description like name, birthmark. This initiative comes under Bachpan Bachao Andolan, the movement for the protection of children

The Delhi government launched a mobile app called “Delhi’s Date with Democracy”. Its aim is to allow applicants from all parts of the city to showcase their talent.
Citizen Services Mobile App
The National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) has introduced Citizen Services Mobile App, which is a bouquet of 9 police related services. These services will provide a smooth interface between Citizens and Police.
• Another feature of the App also enables a complainant to download FIR.
• States/UTs can host this App on their platform through which citizens can register Police Complaint
Cops Eye: New app to help Police
Madurai police have come up with new app Cops Eye. Based on face recognition feature, it would help them detect people with criminal backgrounds by clicking photographs. The data of 2,000 criminals has their names, photographs and details of criminal cases. Taking photograph of any person whose data is available with the centralised criminal analysing system will give all particulars.
