Assistant Section Officer-
The work includes routine noting, drafting, writing letter and submission of cases. Required to locate and collect other files or papers, information, data and material, if any, referred to in the receipt, or having a bearing on the issues raised therein. Identify and examine the issues involved in the court case and record a note. Assisting in the formulation and monitoring implementation of policies concerning subjects.
Educational Qualifications for the post-
- You must clear Computer Proficiency Test (CPT), if you failed CPT, you will not be eligible for this post even after you are securing All India rank 1.
- Age limit for applying is 30 years.

- Pay Scale: Rs. 9,300 – 34,800/-
- Grade Pay: Rs. 4,600/-
- Initial Pay: Rs. 9,300/-
- Total Pay: Rs. 13,900/-

Working Hours-
There will a normal working hours from 9 am to 5 pm in addition to that you will get fixed Saturday and Sunday off, with no extra shift work.
Posting of an ASO-
- An Assistant Section Officer is generally posted in New Delhi only.
- In sometime you may be transferred to Regional Headquarters for a short period of time.
- You will be posted in Udyog Bhawan, Nirman Bhawan etc depends on the Ministry you opt for.
